I don't know if any of you guys have heard this, but there is a rumor going around in my area.


The rumor: Haley Joel Osment's voice will get too deep for Sora, so they will replace him with Justin Bieber.

As for David Gallagher as Riku, I'm not sure.

As for Hayden Panetierre as Kairi, maybe.


I've researched this, and as I said, it's just a rumor.


But if this turns out to be true....

I will NOT buy KH3.

I'm 95% sure that if Osment's voice is too deep, they're not gonna replace him with Bieber. I think they know that most of the target demographic is past the tween age.

Because if they DO replace him with bieber, my name is gonna change in a heartbeat. Also, he can always use his fake-Sora voice, since Vanitas' voice was more like his normal one.

Also, he already passed puberty, I don't think his voice CAN get much deeper, if it can at all...

 

Oh, but Jesse Mccartney was okay as Roxas? No real logic there.

 

The Jesse Mccartney hate hasn't existed since before KH2 came out though.

wait, so is the character who voices sora in Re:coded Osment? Because at some points he sounded the same but at others he sounded like a completely different person. But if the rumor is true and they replace him with Beiber, I'll buy the game, but I'm going to need ear medication after I play it

 

I can see how this rumour originated, some JB hater (most likely) came along and thought of what would happen if Haley's voice got too deep, they then thought it would be funny to tell people that it would be Justin Beiber replacing him- since he's well known for his high voice. However, JB is a singer and did do CSI but I highly doubt anything like that would happen.

Yes, I could be wrong but I stick by my thoughts. Also, if Haley's voice gets too deep then it is possible to pitch bend it slightly without it sounding weird right? Meh, I'm sure by the time of KH3 Justin's voice would have broken so he would have lost his chance.

 

By the time KH3 comes out, even Justin Bieber's voice will be too deep.

Haley is older than me..and unless 23 year old's have a massive post puberty pitch dropping then this is a valid concern...but guess what, this rumor is dumb and if this was 5 years ago when KH2 came out I could see there being an issue...but no. this is dumb

Here's a thought. Maybe Justin Bieber will be so good with voice acting that he'll give up music. In which case, I support this rumour.

Would'nt KH3 have to take place after KH2 in the timeline? I'm pretty sure Sora would hit a little bit of puberty by then anyway.
