Me and my mother are pissed off.

Appearantly one day, I cut my TV on at night and it's suddenly a line in the center, covering the entire picture top to bottom. Only the center line has the picture which I can barely see. Yes, there's still sound. Now our other TV also did the same but all I did was change the channel.

My mom said that the TV may be completely out but I seriously don't want to believe it. Does anyone know anyways of fixing this without calling someone?

Sometimes I get weird lines on my screen if the wires aren't plugged in all the way. Check the red, yellow, and white wires -- I'm pretty sure they control the display. Otherwise, if you kept a game on the entire night, the image might have burned onto the screen. But I doubt that...

You must be thinking of some kind of static xD The whole screen except for a small line covers the entire picture. The wires are plugged in though. The image didn't burn into the screen, might have burned it out though.
