I was bored so I clicked on the latest headlines button at the top of my screen (I use Mozilla Firefox) and I saw this, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/click_online/6756899.stm What do you think? Will the internet collapse soon? Or do you think it's just a myth?. I don't know what I think, there are so many myths going around nowadays, I don't know what to believe is the truth!
Eh...maybe in some years it shal, but not yet. I don't even understand how it could collaspe....it's data, not a roadway....
The world wide web is exactly just that. It would need a whole lot of simultaneous chain reactions to take it out.
I think this is just a myth. The internet seems to run relatively smoothly, but I still think we should be cautious about how we run it. I also think that whoever came up with this theory HATES youtube and just wanted a reason to blame it for something. I mean, come on...
Most people do come up with wacky "something is going to happen to such-and-such" because they most likely hate whatever is associated with it. I'm pretty sure the internet is going to crash at some point...when is unknown, but it feels soon because of all this havoc on the internet, like cyber-stalkers, porno sites and hackers and virus and that whole lot of them.
You're probably right..I somehow managed to forgot viruses! If you throw that into consideration, I wouldn't be surprised if the internet crashed and needed MAJOR help to recover in the next...5-10 years. Unfortunately.

True, but just because it's young, doesn't mean that it can't crash soon. After all, if the internet ends up dying, the cause of death probably won't be old age :P On a side note, this article is more than a year old.
I think it's just a myth. /: The internet has life, and if someone killed it, I'd die with it. We use it as a daily life thing.. I don't think it'll crash in our life time. /:
If it did crash, it wouldnt be down for very long, it would probably be up and running the next day...
Yeah, i think its just a myth, cuz its not like the whole internet could collapse cuz of one little thing....at the same time, it might collapse one day, if a lot of simultaneous things happened to make it so.
