Typically...some just kinda grin and wink before they leave you to it.

That's when you get the hell out of there.

Good to know 3PO didn't come from Lucas. Sad to see Jar Jar on his list though.

I'm supposed to care what the rest of the audience thinks? The way I see it, the less people who like it, the more peace I have when going to the theaters to watch it.

Yea because you can't think someone's hot, obviously, without it meaning or relating to masturbation. That's totally legitimate.

The audience = anyone watching the movie. That means you. You do know this right?

And oh my God take a joke.

    Which part?

You asked if I knew that I was included in the audience. In my message prior I had clearly indicated I was referring to 'the rest' of the audience. Had I said, "I'm supposed to care what the audience thinks?" then I would understand where you're coming from. But I was including myself as part of the audience, just not caring what the rest thought.

And the second bit, "What's a joke?" was just me being a smart***.

I just find the argument of "this person is hot, so any movie they're in is good" so... perplexing.
I can understand going to see a movie because you like/are attracted to one or more of the actors. Hell, the only reason I went to see Jack the Giant Slayer was Ewan McGregor, and the only reason I'm even remotely interested in The Mortal Instruments movie is Aidan Turner. But me fangirling over them doesn't stop me from realizing that the movie was/more than likely will be only decent, with a lot of problems.
Furthermore, pretty much everyone in Hollywood is extremely attractive (this is of course subjective), so going by that logic, nearly every movie that comes out must be good.

I liked The Avengers because they all go from arguing like a bunch of teenagers to being a well oiled machine. Granted it takes a tragic plot element in the form of Coulson's death for them to put aside their differences. IT'S BEEN LONG ENOUGH. IT'S NOT A SPOILER.

And that one ass long action scene? THAT'S WHEN ALL, or the majority, OF THE GOOD STUFF HAPPENS. Tony brings the party, Steve saves a bunch of people, Thor turns himself into a lightning rod, Black Widow hijacks an alien flying machine, Hawkeye runs out of arrows, And the Hulk does what the Hulk does best. And Loki's just there being Loki. He does what he wants.

Also whoever said TRON was a good movie, I like you. And I assume you're speaking of Legacy here. Though the 1982 movie had groundbreaking technology for its day. So much so that it was ineligible for an academy award because the use of computers back then was cheating. A lot of people I find don't really appreciate the movie for the worst of reasons. Tron is a secondary character. He has always been a secondary character. And if you still didn't catch it, he was in Legacy, he was there the whole time. He was Rinzler. /TRON fan sort of rant

I have seen very few Marvel movies (actually none that were in Avengers) but I enjoyed Avengers. I get having gripes when you're a big Marvel fan, but I think it deserves some credit for being able to entertain someone who isn't really into action movies. I also could get a good feel for each character and their story despite only having the most basic of knowledge of them going in.

    Thank you

I really wanted to see Legacy in theaters but for some reason it ended up not happening

so I've come to base my opinion of it on the KH3D world which

    considering

    it's the first Disney world

    to almost mAKE ME CRY TRON BBY NO IT'S ME ;_;

by extension the movie must be phenomenal

Bro, you have no idea. The soundtrack either makes me feel like I can take on the world or just completely at inner peace. The special effects are brilliant. Jeff Bridges can do no wrong even when acting for two. Bruce Boxleitner is amazing. Micheal Sheen is an albino David Bowie and ****ing brilliant in his role. Daft Punk makes a cameo as themselves. AND THE ENDING MAKES ME WANT TO RIP MY HEART OUT EVERY SINGLE TIME. It's one of my favorite movies.

    All the feelings.

How much of that would be lost on me if I hadn't seen the original Tron, hypothetically speaking?

I mean I plan to, I'm just wondering if the order makes a difference here

At first I didn't care about what was going on in this thread but then I saw this.

Spider-Man 3 is better than The Amazing Spider-Man?

I actually saw Legacy first. Order makes no difference. They make some offhand callbacks/references to it but nothing in regards to the plot.

I didn't find Tron: Legacy that great, sorry. Loved the music and the spectacle and Jeff Bridges and Olivia Wilde, but...I dunno. The main character felt kinda bland to me, and the plot itself just didn't do enough (in my opinion). I'll still watch it, but I didn't come out any bigger a Tron fan than when I went in to see it.

They're both terrible. Seriously. I gave Spider-Man 3 the win because at least Venom looked cool. I try to remember cool parts of Amazing, but...nothing pops up. Lizard's plot just doesn't make sense to me (never mind he looked freaking stupid). Spider-Man sucked at his job. THE CRANE SCENE.

I'm someone who is easily pleased which I've recently discovered. There isn't much I don't like, I like Tron: Legacy, I like Avengers and all the Iron man's (I still need to watch the other marvel ones) and I enjoy most things I see. Mostly because I think I focus more on the positives the first time I watch something, if it fascinates me enough to rewatch it then good on it and I may go on to watch it many times and by that point I won't be looking for pros and cons or they'll be irrelevant because I love it.

...I need to watch Les Miserables.

I could stand the play, but the new movie...I really did give it a chance. Maybe you can see the good in it, cause I couldn't (besides Anne Hathaway)
