Of Souls, Keyblades, and Devils

Nightmare releases a blastwave just before the tornado hits him. "Is that all?!" he taunts. His red eye flashed again.

 

Xaldin put his Wind sheild up and waited for nightmare to make the first move

 

In the distance, Nightmare heard marching. He turned to see. Soldiers were coming for him armed with swords. Finally, some real souls. he thought. When they saw him, they charged at him. Nightmare got in his fighting stance.

 

Xaldin:Fine if he wont fight me I will come back another time

 

A man in silver armor wondered through the woods next to the area where Nightmare was massacaring the soilders. The clash of metal on metal rang through the air as the soilders engaged the Azure Knight in combat. Suddenly, he sensed Nightmare's presence and withdrew his blade, Requiem. He swung the sword in front of him and tried to find his enemies location.

 

It didn't take long for Nightmare to wipe out the small battalion. Masses of blue wisps flew over the bodies. They began to spiral toward Nightmare. "Yes...become a part of me..." he muttered, absorbing every soul. When the land was clear again, his senses heightened. He could feel both the energies of Soul Edge and Soul Calibur, but it was faint. Now renewed, he went on towards the direction of the swords, ignoring all other presences.

 

Dante ascended the small flight of steps leading to his office, stepping through the doorway that had until recently held a door. Lady followed him in.

"Just where did you hear about those swords?" Dante asked Lady.

"My father had a whole library dedicated to acient legends," Lady replied venemously, as if mentioning her father left a bad taste in her mouth, "He would chase any wild fantasy in search of power. Just look what he did with Vergil."

"You don't need to remind me," Dante walked up to where the Sparda hung, "What the hell is with your sword, dad? Why is it so similar to the one that demon was using?"

"Master, that Devil Arm can't answer-"

"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Dante roared at Agni and Rudra. The two swords fell silent. Dante thought for a second and reached forward, unhooking the Sparda. He concentrated. The sword flashed with red energy and when the light cleared it was simply the silver broadsword Force Edge, the perfect amulet held in Dante's hand. He strung the amulet around his neck and sheathed Force Edge across his back from left shoulder to right hip.

"I'm going after that demon," Dante said with no possibility for argument.

"I'm coming too," Lady added.

"Why do you care so much?" Dante asked.

"If my father was interested in the tale, then it wasn't without merit. That demon just proved that it was no myth. Besides, I can't trust you to save the world all by yourself," Lady smirked, "You'll probably need someone to clean up after you."

"So, little Lady's going on a date, huh?" Dante grinned. A gun sounded a crack in retort and Dante's head snapped back, a neat red hole in his forehead. He shook his head and reached into the wound, extracting the bullet. The wound healed instantly.

"I thought we were past this," Dante flicked the spent bullet onto the floor and with a dramatic swish of his cloak was gone.

 

Xaldin was on a building looking at Dantes office then he walked away

 

Zasalamel thought about it long enough. He decided to bring the three Keyblade masters in this. He left the clock tower and went to the islands where two of them were supposedly were. "So this is where they live. How peaceful..." he observed when he got there.

 

Sora, napping on the Paoupu Tree, failed to notice the Enigmatic Soul that was Zassalamel. "No mommy... I wanna stay here and bake cookies with you..." He muttered in his sleep.

Riku, however, was observant and decided to confront the scythe-weilding man, "Who are you?".

Meanwhile...

Sigfried heard the footstps of the Azure Knight approach him. "Show yourself coward!" He screamed.

 

Zasalamel didn't answer the question. He went right to the point. "Organization XIII are after two swords said to be stronger than the Keyblade. If you wish to find out more, seek the man in silver and the Azure Knight." And with that, he left the world and appeared behind Siegfried. "You served your purpose. It's time for you to die!" he sternly said. He got ready to fight.

 

"Wait!" Riku called out, but it was too late, the Enigmatic Souls had dissapeared. "Um... Sora?" Riku shook his friend awake, "We have a problem.".

"You! Who are you!?" Siegfried asked as he spun around and got into the proper fighting stance.

 

Zasalamel turned around. The blade of his scythe began to burn for a moment. "Play time..." he started.

 

Siegfried swung his blade Horizontially at the hooded man, "Die!".

 

Zasalamel canceled his attack to repel Siegfried's. He dashed behind the armored man and grabbed him.
