With Aaron leaving to do some unnecessary task because he agreed to and this old man still being rude there was not much to go for. Aaron, she was hoping to ask him if she could come along and met his sister. The way he talked about her she was sure she would like her What was she like? Aaron said something about her being older by four years or something like that which would but her at the same age as her. That was when the old man told Aaron his room was still there. Then he proceeded to yell at the mage who was saying he was doing something wrong. That when the old man started talking to her. She did not feel like explaining herself to some Witcher so she walked away. It was probably for the best anyways. What was the old Wither's name? 'V' something Veelv, no vesla, no, Veceslav that was it. She man need to learn some respect and some manners. Whoever taught this man manners need some major help as did Veceslav. She remembered that over the years she had seen him walk the halls. She then started playing with her hair not knowing what to do. That was when Derrick said it was indeed him. Apparently he had gone on adventure and was able to get some money from it. That was good for him. That was when Derrick left her standing by herself. She watch him go over to Veceslav to talk to him. She became said, after all these years and still she did not fit in. Was it because she was a girl? Was it because she could beat and boy at anything. When she was training as a Witcher she was the best in her class and no one could come near her scores. She had something that that did not and that was that she was simply that good and lucky. It would have been nice to catch up with the man after all these years of not seeing each other. What has he been doing all these years? She looked over to where Derrick was standing. There was on question that she wanted to ask him. If anyone knew the answer it would be him. She just stood there playing with her hair.

So the old man was a drunk as well, explains why the first thing he considered efficient was to break into the house. There may not have been so many alternatives that he could've done that wouldn't have ended with him breaking into the house, but one doesn't know the results of an action until they actually try. As for the remark about making friends, that didn't bother him at all. Kruez stopped caring about making friends a long time ago.

Kruez silently watched as Evander had started to heal the girl in the bed. It indeed looked like nothing was happening, but being a mage himself he knew that things weren't always what they appeared to be. In fact his magic was a fairly good example of things not being what they appeared to be. The white hair mage noticed the glint in Evander's eyes as he walked by, but said nothing about it for it was likely none of his business.

"I suppose you haven't seen that much of a woman before, have you?"

The woman in the bed was now speaking to him. Her questioned was followed by a weak chuckle.
"No I have not." Despite this truth, Kruez's face remained void of any noticeable expression. It was quite rare for him to even crack a smile, let alone show emotions on his face. "I'm Kruez." He wasn't sure what to say when she thanked him for coming, especially since he didn't really do anything. It had appeared that Tatiana was going to get some rest. Kruez took that as his cue to leave her be and head back into the room Veera was in.

With the confirmation that his room was still his room, Aaron made his way there, he had a paper to right after all if he wanted a chance to go home. It didn't take long for Aaron to navigate his way through the halls towards his room. Perhaps he left a shirt in their too, it would be slightly less awkward for him if he did. Walking around shirtless he was fine with and all but others tended to give him weird looks, and that is what bothered him at times. Entering his room, he quickly discovered a shirt forgotten in his closet. After it was on he sat down to work on his paper.

It didn't take long for Aaron to get restless. He had never been a fan of doing homework. He found it rather hard to listen. Within ten more minutes he was back in the hall going towards the Gauntlet. After a run or too of that he would want to just sit down and writing the paper would be a break. And on top of that it would give him good practice for tomorrow. On top of it, it would burn off some of the anger at himself for getting into this mess and possibly leaving his sister for even longer. Her letters always said she was fine, but Aaron didn't fully believe that. He was worried that everything was not as fine as she claimed. After all she worked at a brothel, he doubted much good could come from that. Even still she wouldn't say anything to make him worry, and that was why he worried most.

It didn't take him long to get to the course and take his shirt off once again as he began. He didn't want it if he was running the Gauntlet, it would be too warm.
"Do it a little faster than last time." He told himself as he began, pushing himself harder than before. "Do it a little better than last time." He said as he got past the first obstacle. "Make yourself a little stronger." He said as he continued running. He continued to talk to himself like this through the entire course. When he reached the end he took a drink of water and looked back at it. That was bad enough the first time but he was still angry at himself and not ready to sit and do a paper again. "Do it again." He said between deep breaths, heading to the start, beginning to run the course again.

"It is okay sweetie. I am here now. Look I brought us some treats." Terra said as she placed her hand on one of the younger girls heads as she walked into her orphanage. She glanced over at one of the older boys, around sixteen. "Did everyone behave themselves when I was gone. Thank you for taking care of them for me. You know ever since Eric died money has been harder to come by and I can't afford to keep us going as well anymore. Here, have a few extra." Terra said as she place an extra five candies in the older boys hand as she kissed his head. Making her way into a big playroom, Terra picked up a two year old girl who was recently brought to her, found starving on the streets. "Are you getting used to being here now?" With a nod she put the child back down. "I am going to go make you guys dinner okay? Please try not to disturb me, but if you really need me, you know where I am." The woman said.

As she walked away from where all the children were, the warm smile dropped from Terra's face. She looked around at the decor of her orphanage, thought of all the kids she had just greeted. This was all Eric's dream, not hers. She loved the man and would support him in it, but now that he was gone... Nothing was the same. She hated all of it. Eric was the reason she left the life she lived before. He was the reason she no longer fought without purpose except money. He was the reason it had been so long since she had used her true powers. He meant the world to her. He made her realize it was worth saving instead of destroying, but now he was gone.

The day Eric died something broke in Terra, some lock she didn't realize that she created. The person she had become had cracked allowing parts of her old self to shine through, including the need for revenge. Someone had killed Eric by introducing a new sickness not even she could heal. No doctor could identify it. The symptoms were all over the place. There was no cure. No way to save Eric's life. That is why she had to recreate the illness, she would find a cure, then maybe she could allow herself go get close to someone again. Maybe she could find someone that would mean as much to her as Eric did. But not before she found a way to save them from one of her old bosses, if she didn't find him and destroy him first. Though the Orphanage kept her pretty tied down to Oxenfurt. It was all she had left of Eric, and no matter how much it hurt her to be here she wouldn't let it die and she wouldn't leave. Though the kids here had now begun to grow up to be experiments for her own project to recreate the illness, and her only source of income through human trafficking.

Veera stiffened as Evander admonished her for using Swallow on Tatiana. "You think I wished this pain upon the girl? I had no other allies, and unless I wanted her to bleed to death, I was out of options!" She snapped, before pressing her hands to her temples to ward off the impending headache. "I mean to take her to Kaer Morhen. There is a man there, a mentor and a friend. He will keep her safe, and help me track down the monster that did this. And I hope, that he will help me take care of the rest." She was sick of watching people get hurt because of something so foolish as a bestial nature.

"They're animals, and they deserve to burn." She dropped her hands and opened her yellow eyes, glaring first at
Evander, then at Kruez as he entered. "So will you help me or not? I need the rest of the witchers gathered and brought there. Veceslav might be able to tell me where they are. Or were last heard from."

Bryce sighed, stopping for a moment to lift Zack back onto his shoulders before continuing. "You know, if you didn't continue such destructive behavior, you might not have to consider giving yourself up." As they neared the end of the tunnel, the light of the lamps shining the way, he glanced at Seth. "Welcome to your home, however temporary you may consider it to be."

The tunnel ended on the edge of the town. Built in an underground cavern, dopplers bustled to and fro, coming in and out of the multiple entrances that led to the city of Oxenfurt above. It wasn't much, but he was proud of his accomplishment, of the hard work of all of his people that had gone into making a safe place. Sure the air smelled a little foul, and sometimes it got a little too close for comfort, but all in all, it wasn't bad.

The girl didn't feel like stepping out of line again, if he recalled correctly she had been good, real good in her training, but that alone wouldn't get herself in The Crow's book. Even the best of the class could fall to miscalculation and mistakes costing them their heads. Training was one thing, field experience was another. He himself had atleast sixty years to his name, countless contracts even requests directly from the Kings for his services. It was then that Derrick returned asking him how he was doing. Veceslav looked at him, straight in the eyes, knowing what had made him see Olivia as a peasant instead of a full fledged witcher. His face spoke volumes and he didn't need to waste words. This lad really needed to quit using axii on him. "
Derrick, you ploughing idiot, how many times am I going to have to punish you until you learn not to use that blasted sign on me, you know how much I hate you pulling that ****. As punishment for your little prank you are going over the Gauntlet Twenty times and you are going to give me a written explanation of all the reasons why I am getting sick and tired of your ****, Derrick. Furthermore, find Aaron, tell him he doesn't have to do his Gauntlet runs anymore, I do however still want to get the rules across to him." Veceslav said in annoyance as to what the man had done to him, he should probably try and work on his little side project some more and if that turned out to be fruitless, he could always break Derrick's hand if he continued pulling that ****. He then turned to Olivia "I apologise for not recognising you as the full fledged witcher that you are, Derrick thought it funny to cast Axii on me to make me forget." He then walked out "Now if you'll excuse me, I have different matters to attend to..." He left for the laboratory to try and make some progress on his little project.

Zach shrugged his shoulders as Teliana asked him about his preference of the location that the potion would be made. "Doesn't bother me either way. How about my place? That way, whatever effect the potion has on me at least happens in an environment I'm comfortable with" he suggested. Truth be told, his mind wasn't functioning at an amazing level after seeing both Teliana being frightened and the murder attempt on her, or at least what he assumed was a murder attempt. He didn't remember exactly what the potion was, but he'd talked with the mage enough times to have at least a little trust in her.

Yana smiled at Annabelle's obedience. She was such a good little minion, and the fact she always referred to her as 'your greatness' was one of few reasons that the psychotic witch hadn't attempted to burn her to ashes. "Bet'cha wondering why we're here and not back at the camp. I figured I'd stop and say hi to my sister, give me a minute" Yana stated as she skipped away a short distance. Inside the cave they'd just been in had been where Yana's sister had been cornered and murdered some time ago, but the gravestone itself was not inside. As she got closer, not particularly caring if Annabelle was following or not, her skipping and grin gradually lessened, until eventually the girl had an incredibly serious look on her face and showed it in her movements.

The gravestone had more words than most would have on them. It read "Here lies Hope Aegrum. She was the first to fall, and the last one to be accidental. I will burn them all. Every one of them". This was the message etched on there in messy scratches. It was by no means a perfect grave, but given an eight year old had made the grave, it was impressive. Hope was the one person whom Yana would never, ever revive. Not after the way she'd died. While Yana had been confronted over it, she'd never admitted it to the townspeople. They had found Hope's charred body and gone after her, and rather than apologize as her sister would, Yana had embraced the psycopath within and claimed it was completely intentional. It hadn't been.

Taking one more look at the grave, Yana hurled a fireball at a bird that had just landed on it, causing the creature to explode into black flames before falling over, dead. The tips of the girl's mouth curving into a small smile before she spun around and coughed. "MINION" she barked, before chuckling a little. Having an apprentice was fun, why didn't more people do it? She pointed at the ground before her. "Portal. Make. Go. If ya make it properly, I'll make your medicine and I'll give you a day where you can do whatever you like, doesn't that sound fun?" she asked, almost rhetorically.

Well, Callum knew one thing about Tessa; she wasn't very good at assuming things. She'd said she could tell he was sorry, and if that were true then she was exceptionally good at reading people, given Callum most certainly did not feel sorry for the deaths of her parents. He was standing there covered in dried blood, looking extremely unamused. Did he look sorry? However, telling her that wouldn't really change anything. He had to admit, the Witcher felt a little curious about why he wasn't allowed to follow Seth, Zack and Bryce. Maybe if Tessa thought he was a nice Witcher and sympathetic she'd let him in. Not likely, but what else did he have to do? Go back to drinking when it had little to no effect on him? "My name's Callum, how about yours?" he asked, already detesting the idea of casual conversation.

There was no one around, so that meant one thing about Yana's sister. She wasn't actually alive anymore. This however came as no surprise to Annabelle, seeing Yana's destructive nature. It didn't surprise her that Yana's sister was dead, it was probably by her hand too. So Annabelle stayed back, it didn't seem like she was required to follow. Instead she gripped her bunny and thought about her own loss of her parents. Annabelle didn't know what it was like to have siblings, but she had a family at one point. However thanks to Yana they were gone, and her entire home had gone down in black flames. She had nothing left of them, not even a grave to visit.

Annabelle jumped when she was yelled at. She slowly walked closer to Yana to listen to the woman's instruction. What Yana promised was something that sounded really nice, something that she really needed, however what she was asking was nearly impossible. She had never been able to open portals like Yana and other mages did, no matter how hard she tried. Still this didn't stop Annabelle from attempting it. Is she succeeded this time then she could rest and have medicine. But if she failed, Annabelle dreaded the training she would have to do. So Annabelle held out her hand in front of her and focused as she tried to make a portal to somewhere, anywhere, she didn't care it just had to appear. She imagined the portal and where it would bring her in her mind then focused her magic, but when she opened her eyes, nothing. So she tried two more times, both not even coming up with a spark of magic.
"I can't do it your greatness. I Can't!" She said clearly upset that an impossible task was what she had to do to retrieve what she needed.

"Too late to change anything now. I doubt I could make matters any worse now if I tried to." Seth said waving off the comment about stopping his destructive behavior. "Besides it isn't like there is anything else in this world that provides any entertainment." He continued. And this was true for a person like him, the only thing that proved of any entertainment for him anymore was the rush of being in danger due to his actions, but even that was beginning to get a little boring because the stupid city guards couldn't catch him or stop him at all. The witcher, well that was a fun one, however it turned out to cause problems for a lot more people.

Bryce welcomed him to what he referred to it as "his home." Seth froze for a moment. It sounded strange to him. He couldn't remember the last time he had somewhere he would call home. He usually just jumped around from place to place, causing trouble, stealing another skin, and then move on to another place and making a circle. heading back to the first place when all was settled. Calling anywhere home, that hadn't happened in a very long time. Seth kept his head down and his thoughts to himself as he followed Bryce. He had never seen so many dopplers in one place. He would admit he didn't know this many existed. In a way Seth felt slightly less alone, but then again as he walked past them practically invisible to many of them as they went about their busy lives, he still felt alone.

The sound of a knife on a chopping board was all that was heard for a long time. The children were keeping each other busy while Terra stood in the kitchen preparing dinner for fifteen people. As she chopped Terra picked up the knife and looked at the blade, thinking of the duel daggers she had hidden in her room from her past life. How had she gone from a dangerous rogue mage to a matron for fourteen children in the middle of one of the biggest cities. She used to be known and feared by everyone, now no one knew who she was. But that is what she wanted when she met Eric. And that was the dream she would keep following no matter how hard it was to see the dream anymore. The anger that prickled under her skin, she wanted to take the knife and stab it into her old bosses throat, but she knew she couldn't. Instead she put her head down and finished chopping the vegetables.

When dinner was ready she called the kids, and sat down and ate with them. She did what was expected of her and asked about their days and what they did. She asked what they wanted to learn next for school and how she could improve their living. She did everything that she used to do with Eric. Everything that was expected of her. But her mind was somewhere else, thinking of how close she was to recreating the strand of illness that killed Eric. She thought she might have got it today, now she just had to wait a few more months till her oldest child, a seventeen year old girl, turned eighteen, the cut off year for being taken care of in the orphanage. After the send off party, when the kids were in bed and the drug that she will have slipped into the girls drink takes effect, she would take her down to the lab and test this one. If it was it, then she could start working on the cure. Then no one again could take away what she loved. She could love the kids again, and maybe even love another man.

Teliana offered a smile before turning in the direction of Zach's house. It took her a moment longer to get her legs moving again. Her mind was resisting the state of shock her body desperately craved, but she couldn't give in yet. She had to finish this first, then she could break down into a sobbing mass of female hormones.

She smiled at the state of his home, what she considered a pure signpost of male slovenlyness. Perhaps she was overly critical, but she didn't speak a word as she placed the basket on his dining room table, in between dishes and a stray project here and there. "I warn you, this probably won't taste good." She said as she pulled the plants from the basket, along with her mortar and pestle, safely nestled in the bottom. As she began to grind the plants into a paste, she hummed to herself, letting her mind shut away what had happened earlier in a cloud of denial.

"If you start feeling like it's going to happen soon, let me know." she interrupted her song softly. She had seen
Zach change once, and once had been far frightening enough. Without the potion anyway. "It should calm you down. You'll still have to change, it's too late to reverse that, but you should be able to recognize people from prey."

Or so she hoped. It wasn't like she had a line of test subjects just waiting to help her.

"Tessa. And you could use a bath." She wrinkled her nose, crossing her arms over her chest. "You can't go with them." She interjected, following Callum's line of sight. To be honest, his eyes kind of freaked her out at the same time as they intrigued her. What could do that to a person?
"You're not one of us." At this she sighed. "I wish we didn't have sides. Everyone just gets hurt, and innocent people get killed." She turned, and started off in the direction of a bathhouse. "If you don't come with me, you won't know what they're hiding down there." She teased. And I want to know if you can catch me. "Tell you what. You beat me to that," she pointed to a particular wooden rooftop, painted green. "And I'll tell you where they're going. Not how to get in, not where it is, but what it is. And if I beat you..." Her eyes turned determined. "You have to take me out of this city."

Good thing Bryce still thought she was a stupid teenager.

Bryce glanced at Zack as he began to wake up from his minutes long stupor. "Alright, Seth. Let's get some food and sleep in you, then we can talk about your future." If that was something he even wanted. Glancing at Seth, it was clear something was troubling the young man. Ah well.

Bryce led the way to a small wooden building. "The tab is on me. But only enough for a meal and a room. You can pay me back by dropping Zack here, off in one of the beds. Sound like a deal?" He really hoped it did. His back was beginning to hurt from carrying the other man, and he needed to check on his....things.

"What an interesting establishment" Vyle stated as he suddenly reappeared into existence next to Teliana. He was casually leaning against a wall, arms folded, and gazing about the room disinterestedly "Do not be scared, if I wanted to kill you I could have done so many times already, I simply desire to talk to you" Vyle stated calmly, he hoped the woman wouldn't start screaming. She did have a male acquaintance, who Vyle assumed was a werewolf based on what she said about people and prey and what she was doing for him "You're one of the only people to see me, know what I am, and not either run away screaming or call me a monster, you handled the situation expertly. I know we only just met and in such extraordinary circumstances, but you can trust me, can I trust you?"

An orphanage owner? Really? Willow wondered what a harmless orphanage matron could have possibly done to get them killed? Obviously this "Terra Mace" was not as harmless as she seemed. So what did Willow know? Mrs Mace was a widow who had run the orphanage with her husband before he died. The contact refused to explain anything else about the woman's past, except the fact she was a mage. Willow didn't ask questions either, she worked with discretion. Eventually Willow made her way into Oxenfurt, hmm, she thought of ways to infiltrate the building. Sometimes the most simple approach was, however, the best. Stopping in a secluded alley Willow transformed herself into a young girl, about fourteen. She already had a small stature so it was quite a convincing disguise. But how to make the costume more complete? She ruffled her clothes and hair and rolled around in the dirt for a moment. faking some tears she decided she looked just as intended. With an incredible skill in acting she changed her whole manner to seem beaten down and depressed, she walked dragging her feet and looking exhausted. Perfect. It wasn't far to the orphanage, as she approached she looked up at the door mournfully. She had to keep the disguise up at all times, who knew what powers this woman possessed? Knocking weakly she cried out for help. "Please... please... let me in!"

She stood by playing with her hair when she watched Derrick return and talk to Veceslav. She wondered if he had found the mage he was sent to look for. Mages were a tricky bunch. They always being able to disappear at a moments notice. Veceslav then said to Derrick, 'Derrick, you ploughing idiot, how many times am I going to have to punish you until you learn not to use that blasted sign on me' Axii if Derrick did indeed use the spell as Veceslav had said he was rather good at using it without being noticed. He then gave Derrick punishment of running the Gauntlet Twenty times. Her owner was kicking himself for being so stupid and felt that this was all his fault and should be punished for it not some role play character named Derrick. Her owner would never forgive himself for being so stupid and could not handle some taking the blame for her owners being stupid. That was when Veceslav came over and apologized for not recognizing her as the full fledged Witcher that she is. This surprised her at first, but her owner did not think that she deserved it. That was when Veceslav said that Derrick thought it funny to cast Axii on me to make me forget. That was not true it was her owner's stupid fault for not telling such a thing in the first place. She Watched Veceslav left leaving her to just stand there. Veceslav said he had something else to do. She wondered what it could be, but then decided that for now it did not matter that much. She just stood there not knowing what to do. She would just continue to play with her hair for now.

Novigrd was now a distant memory. Now all she had to do was find this small village and destroy it. Then she would take the gold and money she could find and move onto the next one. It should take all that long. When she was in Novigrd she told several people to met her at the village with the goods. All they had to do was sit it up, blow it up, burn it to the ground and move on. The village was not far now and it was getting dark and so the likely hood of being spotted was less.

Yana frowned slightly as Annabelle came to the realization that she couldn't make the portals. Well, now Yana had to actually do things and that was far too much effort. Still, she supposed Annabelle had tried...and no doubt the next training exercise was going to push her to her limits. If she was pushed too far maybe she'd die of exhaustion, and though Yana could re-animate her, that too took effort. So she made a decision there and then. "Well, at least you tried. This is how you do it" the young witch said, holding out her hand and opening a portal that lead back to the camp. "Once we're back at the camp, you're free as a birdie for 24 hours. Not a minute more or less, okie? I've got things to do, people to explode, so you can do whatever you want until then" she announced, before stepping through the portal.

Of course, the potion that was meant to ease the transformation. Or at least, make it easier for others and safer. He grinned slightly. "Sounds good to me" he said simply. He took a seat on the couch, though he did sit exactly as a dog would, as he watched Teliana carefully making the potion. He couldn't feel The Change coming on at that time, but it always hit without warning. He had the glowing moon in the sky as a warning to him when it was full, but if he was inside there was really no way to tell, and the entire process was usually over in about five minutes. Was tonight supposed to be a full moon? He couldn't remember, but he hoped that if and when he did change, Teliana was nowhere nearby.

He nearly fell off of the seat when a man dressed a little formally with pale white skin and...oh he was a vampire. Fangs, gotta love them. Zach became thankful that once again he hadn't changed, and he began praying it didn't happen anytime soon. He had a strong dislike for vampires without being transformed, but when the moon rose it only intensified. Despite his wishes, a low growl could be heard emanating from the young werewolf as he stood up. "Not a clue who you are, but you need to leave, and you need to leave now" he said. The vampire had been there for about a whole two minutes and already Zach was finding it hard to tolerate him, and he hadn't really even done anything! Vampires sucked.

Callum lazily raised an eyebrow as Tessa spoke to him about sides and how she wished they weren't there. While Callum was a Witcher and he did have obligations, he was more of a neutral force really, not caring one way or another. His attention focused entirely on Tessa when she mentioned the wager, however. Not how to get in, not where it is, but what it is. That was a start, and chances were he could ask around and get information on it if he knew exactly what it is. "Alright, you've got yourself a deal" the Witcher said. He then had an idea, why not make it more interesting? "If I beat you, you tell me what it is and where it is. I don't need to know how to get in, because I have no intention of going inside, but these things are important to know. However, if by some miracle you manage to beat me, well..." he started, before pausing. What could he offer? He had the money on him, but he doubted that would suffice, and other than that what did he have? His swords? He didn't even really have a home, he just roamed around. Another idea sparked within him as an ever-so-slight smirk appeared on his face.

"If you manage to beat me, you will get three lives. Name any three people, anybody at all, and they will either have their lives ended or have done with them as you specify. On top of that, I'll get talking to other Witchers and see if we can't make some progress on this resolution of a war. Do we have a deal?" the Witcher asked, holding out his hand. Maybe this day wasn't so bad after all.

Matthias Strowl was a little bloody on his face and upper torso, but not a drop of it was his own. He was streetfighting just outside of Vizima, surrounded by a ring of males as the fight between Matthias and his victim continued. The guy had initially had an air of confidence, but a couple of solid strikes from the werewolf had seen that vanishing immediately. As the man swung out desperately and clumsily with his fist, but Matthias just ducked underneath it and struck with a savage uppercut to the man's jaw, knocking him out cold. With the fight over, Matthias walked out of the ring of people, pushing through them as he waited for the next one to begin.

Yana made it look so easy to summon the portal, but still she couldn't do it. Why could she not do such a simply thing that it seemed like all mages could do? It was unfair, now she wasn't going to get her break that she needed. But to Annabelle's surprise she was told that she was indeed allowed to have a 24 hour break to do whatever she wanted, and that would be sleep. She wasn't going to sleep for the full 24 hours, but she would rest for quite a while. Annabelle followed Yana right back to the camp, she soon made her way towards the shelter that they stayed in. She curled up under a ragged blanket, holding her bunny close and soon fell asleep. She stopped caring about having clothing right away, instead rest had become the most important thing for her. Rest that she could now get.

"Gotcha boss." Seth said in a half sarcastic manner as he took Zack off of Bryce and brought him into the room that the innkeeper gave him the key for. "You really need to get a hold of your alcohol better." Seth sighed as he placed Zack down on a bed. "No one wants to carry you around like that, especially not me." He told the unconscious man as he pat his shoulder. "I would hate to be you in the morning." He then chuckled as he walked out of the room and back to where Bryce was waiting for him. "So what is this so called future you talk of. As far as I am concerned, that does not exist for me. There is not much waiting ahead for me." Seth stated as he waved down a server to get him a drink. Despite all the depressing things that he said he still talked in a rather uncaring tone, like everything was fine and it didn't bother him at all.

Terra had not had much to eat when a knock at the door was heard. "None of you are dismissed from the table yet, I will be right back." She told the children as she headed towards the front door. Opening it she saw a young girl who looked quite hungry and desperate. "Oh my dear child, come in, come in. You must be cold." The woman said ushering the child inside. Even with how broken she felt and what she did, she still couldn't turn away a child. It was better for them to live in warm comfort and die at her hands then to die cold and starving on the streets. "We were just eating dinner, lets get you washed up a but and you can have my serving, I should lose weight anyways." She said ushered the girl in and to one of the bathrooms, wetting a cloth to wipe the girls dirty face off with. She left the water running so the girl could wash her own hands. "My name is Terra Mace, I own this orphanage. What is your name? And how did you find us. I mean you are welcome to stay here, I can't turn away a young girl on the streets after all." Terra introduced herself as she began to wipe the girls face, then handed her a dry towel. "Follow me to dinner if you want."

Evander only half-listened to what Veera had to say, only taking note of the destination she wanted to go to and her obvious hate for dopplers and other such creatures. As for her plan to gather all the Witchers, it didn't really interest or concern him. He would get her, and more importantly to him Tatiana, to Kaer Morhen, and then wash his hands of the matter.
The thought of Witcher fortress brought make a mix of memories.
“Ah, Kaer Morhen,” Evander sighed, and then frowned slightly. “Last time I was there, I had to break through the walls to get to a pesky Witcher who had gotten herself mixed up in something way over her head.” He glanced over at Veera. “This was a long time ago, of course, but some of your old timers might still hold some grudges. I'm going to need your word that they won't lop my head off.”

Suddenly he clapped, and started moving his shoulders back and forth to warm up.
“Alright, I'm as sober as I'll ever be, so lets get this portal up and running.”
Evander walked over to a wall, and stared at it intently for a few moments. “Mmm, I suppose this will do,” he muttered to himself, backing off a few steps and looking over his shoulder at the others. “One of you go get Tatiana, I'd much rather not have to keep this thing open for too long.” As he said this, he waved his hand casually towards the wall, and all of a sudden a swirling green portal burst out of it, sucking in the air of the room towards it, tugging at the lighter items littered around the room. Evander brushed aside some hair that was blown into his face, and looked at the others expectantly. “I'm dying for a drink,” he added, more to himself than anyone else.

Veera frowned. "Some walls, hm?" She asked, mostly to herself before turning to get Tatiana, gently shouldering past Kruez. She knelt down next to the girl, who seemed to be struggling to stay awake. "Hi." Veera said, in a soft voice. "We're going to go now, someplace safe. I need you to help me get you dressed, we can't just have you running everywhere half naked, can we?" She managed to add a smile to the sentence, but in reality, she was nervous, ad a pit of anxiety whirled in her stomach. "So up we go, to get some clothes and get out of here." She half hoisted Tatiana out of the bed, helping her to sit up before leaning her against the wall that bed was placed against. "And if what you said was true, you might be seeing your brother soon."

Teliana had started to laugh when Zach sat down, his dog, or rather wolf like idiosyncrasies somewhat endearing. The laughter died in her throat as the vampire suddenly appeared next to her. She felt her heart begin to race, and with adrenaline crashing through her system, it made it very very hard not to scream and run. No, she was Teliana the Crimson, and she would be dammned if she ran because she was a little scared.

Zach, off to her other side, began to growl, and as she turned her back to the High Vampire behind her, (something you should never ever do, if you were wondering), she put her hands out in a placating gesture, keeping her voice low, and calm. "Zach, it's okay. Just breathe." She thought she saw his skin ripple, but when he shifted again, it was just the play of the light from the window. "Zach, remember who you are."

    If anything started between the
werewolf and the vampire, her chances of survival without serious injury would be slim, at best. "I think perhaps we should talk outside." She said over her shoulder, uncertain who to keep her gaze on. In one hand, she needed to know if the extra stress would shove the change onto Zach. On the other hand, Vyle's motives were uncertain, but she had no desire to become a meal today.

Glancing at the mortor and pestle, the plants had been crushed. It would be even less tasty then a potion, but if he had to,
Zach could eat the paste with his fingers.

Tessa started as Callum changed the arrangement. She hadn't expected the witcher to agree, honestly. Where it is.....She started to shake her head, then stopped. Oh. OH. "I accept." She said with a sly smile, brushing her hair over her shoulder. "I hope you're a good lawyer." It would have been funny, to consider she made a bet with a witcher to argue for the good of her kind. But she didn't have time for laughter. "Ready?"

    She gave time for
him to answer, then grinned, crouching low. "Go!" And took off, down a side alley. At least she had little to lose, if she really didn't make it before him. Had a doppler beat a witcher before? Ah well, first try for everything.

    Oh shit, was
he following her? The thought spurred her on faster, ducking around corners and dodging people as if she was running for her life.

Zack remained passed out on the bed, and if he knew what was good for him, he would stay that way.

"With that attitude, you won't have a future." Bryce rubbed his chin, feeling the day old stubble beginning to protrude from his skin. "You could get a job here, or something respectable in Oxenfurt, after the hunt for you has died down. I'm sure Tessa could use help with her tavern. She runs the thing by herself most days." Which was why he argued that she had to be taught to defend herself. Most nights he would place one or two of their people, or hire humans to serve as body guards, but the fact remained she was a small girl in a large area with a lot of drunken men. Bryce sighed, and dropped his hand. "Seth, you have to choose whether you want to change your life. You don't have to choose now, and you're welcome to stay, but you won't be able to keep making the wrong decisions forever. It'll catch up with you."

Bryce was a big believer in karma, and the way he saw it,
Seth had a lot coming. It worried him, to see the younger man so uncaring about his fate.
"I"ll send some of my spies out, and see if I can find out how big the search for you is. Perhaps it won't be so bad." He gently clasped Seth on the shoulder. "I've got business to take care of, but stay, have a few drinks. Please don't end up like Zack. Think about it." He emphasized, before heading outside of the inn and down the street. It didn't occur to him that Tessa had not yet returned.

Kruez's cold face did not help as he responded to her. He didn't show any emotion, not worry, not relief, not anger, nothing. People who were able to do that scared Tatiana the most. She could never understand them, never read them. She couldn't figure out what they were thinking or if what they said was the truth or not, and that could be a very dangerous thing in her industry.

Soon after Kruez left, Veera entered the room. It seemed like they had figured out what they needed to and now it was time to go. Tatiana feared the consequences of leaving Novigrad before her debt was paid, but she was in no shape to argue with the witcher at this time. She would hope Veera had a way to deal with the consequences when they needed dealt with eventually. Tatiana sat up with Veera's help as Veera brought over clothing. Tatiana slipped into a floor length dress and held the shall tight around her slightly too thin arms. With every movement Tatiana expected a sharp pain, but nothing came. Tatiana quickly brushed out her own hair after asking Veera to get her brush, then it was time to walk.

"Do you think Aaron is still there?" Tatiana asked, feeling like he might already be traveling and she would have just missed him. She had one arm slung over Veera's shoulder as she walked slowly, still regaining strength after everything. The lack of sleep didn't help with that either, but she had functioned fine on no sleep before. The whole experience had her drained to the point even walking felt like a chore, but she could ask Veera to carry her, she wouldn't let Veera carry her, she wasn't that helpless.

Exiting the room she was in, Aarons, she turned back to look at the two bedrooms near each other, both on which were soaked in her blood, one worse than the other. She didn't know if she could ever stomach cleaning it. Perhaps it was time to leave this home behind for good. Tatiana forced herself to look away from the rooms and look forward to the portal that would take them out of there. However before they entered she broke away from Veera's support, taking a moment to catch her balance before walking towards Evander. She placed a hand on his cheek then stretched up to kiss his forehead
. "Thank you once again. If there is anything I can do for you, let me know, even if it is just to keep you company, for a while, I don't mind." She told him before removing her hand and looking towards Veera. With a nod, she walked back to Veera, using the witcher as support again as they went through the portal.

Seth had no choice but to listen as Bryce talked. He spoke of getting a job, but did the man even know her? He never worked an honest day in his life. Working really wasn't his style. He preferred to get his money off of poor drunken idiots. The thought of working never actually crossed his mind to be honest. He never cared enough about it to bother trying. The idea of helping Tessa at her tavern came up, the only appealing thing about that was Tessa, but still it was better then nothing he supposed. Then there was the thought of his current life catching up to him. Honest job or not that was bound to happen eventually, so why not have as much fun as he could before it happened.

Bryce left, leaving him with an encouragement to think about things. Seth remained suspiciously quiet as he looked down at his drink. From outside Seth heard children playing before they got scolded by someone that seemed like their mother. Here there was whole families of dopplers, something he almost didn't think possible. He didn't ever remember having a family, he had always been on his own. He spent most of his life stealing to survive and eventually the trouble it caused him, became fun, a game, a young boys only way to deal with the life he was thrown into. Now as a grown man he didn't know if he wanted to change. Was it worth it? What was the worth to change just because Bryce asked him to? He owned the man nothing so why should he? With a sigh Seth threw a bag of coin on the counter.
"That should cover Bryce's tab." He said dryly to one of the servers before walking out. He just needed to get away from everyone for a moment. He needed to go for a walk and find a secluded ally or something that felt familiar to him in order to sort through his thoughts.

Derrick laughed as Veceslav finally figured out what was going on. He didn't take it in any better humour of course, but that was nothing new was it?
"Heh, you noticed quicker than last time. I'm not doing anything wrong, just a bit of extra training for me and you." Derrick laughed, not even trying to be convincing. It was however, true, but still. He was doing it primarily to screw with the old man and he admitted to himself, to show off a bit. "But if it'll make you feel better Vec, I'll run it. And don't worry, I'll fetch the new kid." Derrick turned around to glance at Olivia quickly.
"Be right back!" With that, Derrick sprinted off towards the Gauntlet. It was more time consuming than difficult, he felt. Twenty times would take a while and frankly he just didn't want to do it. Unfortunately. he didn't exactly have much of a choice otherwise he was going to find himself put through the ringer against the hold man and that wouldn't be pleasant. Despite the nickname, Veceslav had the bite to back up his bark. He knew that personally from another time he'd pulled the same trick. It didn't take long for him to arrive and find Aaron starting another run. He considered not telling him about not having to do it, but Aaron was new and he wasn't that much of an *******. Well, he was. But that was another matter entirely.
"Hey, new kid! Don't let me stop you doing another run if you want but the old man wants you!" Derrick called. He took a leaf out of the other guy's book and took off his armour and shirt, leaving him with his trousers, boots and gloves. He cracked his knuckles and rolled his shoulders. "Guess who's turn it is? I've gotta run twenty of these things. Turns out, Vec hates it when you Axii him." Derrick chuckled and began his run of The Gauntlet. Just as he remembered - It was a pain in the ass.

Kruez watched as Evander opened up a portal. So this was the portal in question. It was impressive given that this was his first time seeing something like this. It actually had him wonder if he could do the same thing himself. Kruez had never truly taken the time to further explore his magic other than the first few pages of his father's notes. That however is a story for another time, for Kruez walked through the portal shortly after Veera and Tatiana.

In the streets of Oxenfurt, Zephyr walked casually down them. Well as casually as he could. It had been a quite some time since he'd last eaten anything, thus he was feeling quite hungry. Normally in this situation he'd just find an odd job in order to make a quick buck. Unfortunately he'd already gone through all of the money from his last job. Thus his current situation.

Fortunately Zephyr wasn't in dire need of food, dire meaning that his life would be severely hindered without it. That said, he would much like to find a place to get something to eat soon. Continuing down the street he eventually noticed a building in the distance. A fairly big building in fact. Maybe he could find a job there to do. Zephyr slightly hastened his pace as he moved closer to the building. The closer he got building, he noticed that it was an orphanage. Not that that realization affected anything at this point. One he had gotten to the door, he lifted up his hand and knocked on it.

Veera stepped through the portal, feeling sick to her stomach but managing to keep her insides within her body as she looked around for a moment, assessing her surroundings. The smell of musty books and the dust in the air told her one thing; they had appeared in the library. She held Tatiana up and stepped aside so that Kruez, and Evander, if he chose, could step through. "If you're going to be sick, give me ample time to get you a pot. Or a balcony." Hopefully no one would be standing below.

She sighed, and squared her shoulders as
Kruez walked through, yellow eyes narrowed but determined. "Welcome to Kaer Morhen. My home."

He could see it down the street from his training hall. There was something going on there what it was he didn't know.

But the person was holding a note: "If You are reading this I have died, if you are a doppler please take my image and be save. Aaron was just about to take off on another run when another guy approached saying he didn't have to do them. That being said he had already mentally prepared himself for this second run so was going to follow through with it. "I hope he doesn't mind waiting a few extra minutes for me." Aaron told Derrick as he turned back to the course and took off running. If he could do it just slightly faster than his last run then it would be good. He would go back and see Veceslav and then if he still had too much energy, come back here, if not he would write that damn paper of his.

When he had finished running the course he past Derrick on his way out.
"It is all yours. Have fun with those twenty runs. Two has me working up a bit of a sweat." Arron said as he gave the man a pat on the back. After that he turned and walked back towards the library, completely forgetting about his shirt that he had just found again. Although he was covered in sweat, Aaron felt it wasn't appropriate to have a shower before meeting Veceslav.

It didn't take long before Aaron approached Olivia and Veceslav. He brushed some of the hair from his sweaty brow.
"Sir, I was told that you wanted to see me." He said giving the man a slight respectful bow. "I apologize for my current attire. I was running the gauntlet when I was told that you wanted to see me, and didn't see it appropriate to make you wait so I could have a shower." Aaron explained. He was a little nervous to be honest. He was always scared pf Veceslav and being called by him never seemed like a good thing.
