"Humans aren't that foolish." Tools: HB Pencil 2B Pencil Photoshop (Cropping, Darkening) Comment: Gawd, I'm horrible at fanart. I swear, it's better before scanned. D: Well, I just watched that new movie of Gurren Lagann, it was really awesome, I was like, "I'm gonna draw!" and then this came up. I am really proud of this drawing since this is the first time for me to crosshatch. The shading on the body was on purpose since the shadows of Gurren Lagann is sometimes like that. I don't bother posting it up on my deviantart, maybe sometime. I also might color this if I can, but you can color it in the meantime. Okay, you know the drill (no pun intended).
Knowing how to draw shadows makes everything look better. This looks good. Not like Gurren Lagann at first glance or maybe at all but undeniably well done. Kinda falls off a bit at the body but I still like the sum of its parts. Nicely done.
I indeed enjoy the sketch-like style; the cross-hatching used in the shadowing gives the piece an interesting depth. The detail in the face is also quite astounding, especially around the bangs and eyes. This detail, of course, makes up for the slight lacking in body which Jiku had previously pointed out. Overall, very well done. You must post more of your work, Kid Hero. This piece, however, has had an impact on me that has struck my memory; it has reminded me to actually finish watching Gurren Lagann.
