Just got this and I've been playing it nonstop. I can't believe I waited this long to play it. I got the GOTY edition and that vampire glitch isn't that big of a deal as everybody makes it to be. I got infected and just cured myself before I turned quick and easy =\ So far I've got a dark elf and my skills revolve around a stealthy assassin type. I just joined the thieves guild but what I really want it the Dark Brotherhood, it's so annoying to have to chase people when they run while you try to kill them. Isn't there a way to 1-shot them while they sleep or something, and how do I level up? I've been playing for a few hours and I'm still lvl.1 =\
Shivering Isles is crazy fun. I cant believe you're only just playing the game though lol. Remember to rest in a bed once you get the necessary experience, otherwise you'll never level up. Took me a while to figure out that one.
Thanks for the heads up, will the game let me know when it's time for me to level up or should I just sleep every so often?
To level up, You must gain 10 levels in any of the major skills you chose. Those 10 levels can be spread among them. It takes forever. I have a great character. Hes very in your face and quick. I love the Wood Elf. Best race ever for me.
Its been a while since I played but I think they give you a message about going to sleep in a bed or something.
It shows you at the bottom near the compass thing. It kinda looks like a moon and it only shows up when you can level up. And the best way to kill someone so they don't run is to be in sneak mode(L3 I think) and get a sneak attack, that's usually a 1 hit kill.
You have to sleep to level up. I've done everything there is to do in this game, and am now bored of it.
