I agree Near's voice is so terrible, he sounds like an old lady

I say Manga FTW. But that's just me.

 

Manga is better. It's uncensored and there are no voices to **** it up.

 

Oookay...so one subpar voice(its still better than alot of dubbed anime) means you lose all faith in something? Try to do VA work, and maybe you'll get how hard it is and not judge so critically just because of one voice. >_>

 

Oh Arcy, you know I was just being silly and caught up in the moment :P
I'm slowly getting used to it. English dubs can't always live up to the Japanese, anyways. They're two very different languages.

Oh and I know the pain and turmoil of VA work. It isn't easy ;D I'm sure Near's voice will adjust to his character. It happened with Light and Misa, after all. ​

Haha, true. It really is a shame that a lot of people just stop watching english dubs because of ONE single bad one, and Ive seen it happen a lot D: And although Death Note's dub certainly doesnt live up to its Japanese one, its still very good.​

The ironic thing is that when I read the manga, I knew Near was a boy and for several books I though Mellow

was a girl

i like near's english voice... its strangely old and mature for a teenager...
