Both are great games, there's no doubt about that. But I guess in the end, Mario is still the favorite.
I don't think Reggie was kidding when he said this game would surpass MW2 in sales, looks like he was right, so I'm expecting something similar for SMG2.
Suddenly I'm reminded of the ******* scalper that kept buying our entire shipments of the game from the Wal-Mart I work at so he could sell them on eBay. Then he had the nerve to get pissed when we imposed a one copy per customer policy.
You bought a Mario beanie because NSMBW was going to outsell Modern Warfare 2? Quite a bizarre and specific to buy a beanie. I'm a little surprised at how well it's selling. I mean I was expecting it to sell well, but this much? Something went well for the advertising of this game, it just shows that all the casual players knows their Mario.
My mum knows who Mario is and she's never even played a game. xD It's no surprise really considering the wii has sold a lot more units than the xbox and ps3.
Not really a big surprise here. Sure MW2 was a bigger action game, but Mario beats MW2 in popularity, originality, and fun for the whole family.
Originality? NSMBW isn't original in the slightest, it takes a formula they used over 20 years ago and haven't changed at all. Not that they need to change it but I wouldn't call it original.
