"Well," Lana continued "You look through every other case we have filed away somewhere, choose the easiest looking of the lot. And give them us tomorrow, we'll double check and then assign them." She said thrusting the files into Sin's hands.

She then turned towards Near and William. "I think we best be getting home."

"Well...youre not that young also!" He sticked out his tounge at her as he looked for their favortie snack, Cake. "It's got to be here somewhere..!"

 

He nodded before standing with William still in his arms.

Mon finished putting the lego away and the ran to Lana's side, holding her hand

 

"I'm like a decade younger then you!" She cackled. "And it's in the plastic box on the top shelf, they like to hide it in case people go looking at night. Apparently the first L did that a lot whilst he was here."

Lana smiled down at her daughter and walked out of the room, her shoes starting to click as she left the carpeted room into the parquet flooring of the hallway.

Rayku reached for the box and placed it ontop of the counter "YUM!" He licked his lips and opened the cake, it was covred in vanilla frosting with strawberrys. "Yeah...The first L...who was on that Deathnote case..right?" He offered her some cake.

As they left the room Lana fell into step besides Near. "So, I'm a monster am I?" She asked casually.

"Uh ohh..." William giggled as he curled up in Near's arms, half asleep.

"Yeah, he was in the first half of the first Kira Case. The New L is actually the third one I believe."

 

"You heard that? Well...kind of... When you're mad, then yes."

 

"Well that's nice of you to say." Lana muttered sulkily.

 

"I was kidding around."

 

"Sure you were." She pouted. "Prob'ley think I'm gonna grow horns and turn green or something."

 

"That's not true."

 

Lana exhaled sulkily and held up her spare hand to Near's face. "Shun."

 

He opened his mouth widely. "Why shun me? I didn't mean it."

 

"Shunning!" Lana said in a haughty voice, though it was painfully obvious she was trying her hardest not to burst out laughing.

 

"I wish I wasn't holding William right now..."

 

"Oh yeah?" Lana said, trying her hardest not to laugh still. "And why would that be?" She inquired.

 

"Going to put you down for a moment Will." He placed the kid softly on the floor before going to tickle Lana.

 

"No... No... Don't you even think about it!" Lana squeaked as she let go of Monique's hand and ran off down the corridor.

"Mummy and Daddy are funny!" William giggled as he curled on of his legs around at an odd angle and pulled the other up below his chin as he settled onto the wooden floor.

 

OOC: What'd I miss...and I think I read somewhere Lana putting the envelope back in Shima's hands? I think he left the room after that? :blink:
