Really, more people trying to blame video games for the violence in the world? That's ridiculous. It's also ridiculous to blame the entirety of the problem on guns. I agree that guns should be moderated. I don't see a lot of a need for automatic weapons in the United States. I can see owning a shotgun, rifle, or pistol for hunting or self defense, but the need for an automatic is yet to be seen by me.

Honestly banning guns won't solve the entire problem, if people are going to do something they'll do it.

I'm sorry, I didn't bother to read everyone's replies. I skimmed through them, but I figured I'd just reply to the initial post. It's ridiculous that they are forcing blame on video games. I mean, maybe they spark something in individuals, but from my own knowledge (and it's very limited), when you hear about "famous" serial killers, they were not avid video gamers. Whatever caused them to murder people was already there in their brain.

That being said, there really shouldn't be blame on guns, either. It's our gun culture. There are countries around the world that have a comparable rate of per capita firearms, and an almost nonexistent rate of gun violence. The second Amendment needs to be revised to include that persons over a certain age are required to have background checks, firearms safety training, and psychological profiling in order to own a gun. Just because it states that we have the right to bare arms, doesn't mean everyone should.

It's really sad that we had to wait until an elementary school was gunned down for people to start voicing their opinions on gun control that could actually help, instead of outright banning guns from the majority of the United States population.

It's even sadder the NRA doesn't believe that all of this is their fault.

“We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.”
    ― Ronald Reagan

People can blame video games and guns all they want. It isn't the problem. Its the individuals fault. Banning guns would just create yet another black market. And blaming it on video games is just silly.

This isn't true either, I might add. There is already a black market for illegal firearms in the US. First, the most obvious, is the grades of firearms that are illegal, such as grenades, grenade launchers, etc. Gangs especially try to get their hands on higher grade weaponry. Not to mention a few of the people who seem to like collecting weapons in case of doomsday or whatever their excuses are for ownig an RPG. There is a demand for that already, and a black market as such.
Second,it's illegal for military designated firearms to be sold to the public. For example, the M4 rifle, but the public already has access to a civillian model of the M4 rifle. This what most gun fans would illegally buy, they love their guns that they wanna feel like the military, they want the high powered killing guns to fill some child fantasy of being military badasses. This is the most prevalent form of illegal black market buying, and it's because they are mainly bought buy criminals who can't own a gun legally anyway or want an edge over the the police.

Don't fool yourself, there will always be a black market for guns, more so in America because of the fascination of guns and the gun culture.

I've already explained and addressed why a black market for banned guns wouldn't be more succesful or even change all that much anyway in my previous post.

I wonder if William Spengler played violent video games.
