Birth by Sleep Now that I think about it...

There aren't any final fantasy characters shown in BBS.. At all.
Why would Nomura do that?
I remember that when the KH I commercial came they showed the FF characters and with KHII commercial they did the same.
I can't imagine they will not put FF in it, because that would ruin the whole idea of KH, which is linking Disney with FF and add a new story.

So who do you think will be in BBS?
Or do you think there will be no FF characters in the game? Explain.

I think there will be characters in it, but the reason they won't show it or say anything about it because there will be alot of NEW FF characters in BBS (What I mean with new is: not shown before in a KH game).
Maybe they'll add Cloud or something but mainly characters we haven't seen yet in any KH game. At least that's what I think/want.

 

hmmm im guessing well see some ff toons but i believe they will have there own world. wat puts this theory to rest is the fact that nothing has been advertised which is leading me to belivee no ff toons are in this game.

But if there are any, it'd most likely be Leon's group if Radiant Gardens is a playable world.
I doubt it'd show Cloud, though.

 

I wouldn't rule it out just yet. We may see young Leon and his gang running around before they fled to Traverse town. I could see them having a brief cameo. Mainly Cid, and possibly learning how he discovered so much about the Gummi Ships, but that have taken place between the year after BBS and Xehanhort took over. You never know.

Maybe we will go to the worlds where they live (like Radiant Garden, but maybe new worlds as well)?
I would love to see Zack, Genesis, Angeal and young Cloud. That would be some cool shiit, and it would be easy because they already have the character design on the PSP.

It just sounds weird there won't be any FF characters in a KH game.
It might even reduce selling, because people who are new to the KH franchise don't want to buy a game with only Disney in it.
They would want something as cool as FF.
But that's just my opinion, and I could be completely wrong, but I wouldn't buy a game just about Disney and some weird people wielding weapons in the shape of a key.

 

Young Leon, Cloud, and Tifa and others would probably appear.

 

FF characters are like guest stars in KH, the main focus are Disney worlds and original characters. I think the FF characters fit more in Sora's "Story Arc".

-Back story on Cloud/Sephiroth conflict
-Leon and pals will appear in Raidant Garden (my guess is that we will in fact witness their eventual travel to Traverse Town)

I don't recall seeing any FF characters from what I've played of 358/2 Days....

So my hopes aren't very high in seeing any for this game. ._.

 

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days had no Final Fantasy characters at all, and it was just as great as the rest of the series.

I highly doubt any Final Fantasy characters will appear in Birth By Sleep. As someone already stated, they fit better in Sora's story.

Edit: ofrgot about the Moogle in 358/2 Days, but i wouldn't really count him. Moogles are more of a reoccuring Square icon, not a Final Fantasy character. There will definalyl be moogles in BBS, running the shops as they always do, so if you count that as a FF character, then that's the only one I believe will appear.

 

a prequel would be a great time to put in the Crisis Core gang, teaming up with Zack, with Genesis as an optional boss. I mean, didn't Nomura make CC too?

 

If they add in any Final Fantasy characters, it'll be from older installments, previous to Final Fantasy VII. Unless they just decide to change their ages like they did with Leon and Selphie. Leon was like, 20 in Kingdom Hearts and Selphie was like, 14. But in Final Fantasy VIII, they're the same age. If anything, as far as FFVII could be concerned, you might team up with the Turks. I would actually love to have a team up with the Turks. But, I want to see like, the Onion Knight or Cecil. Expose other Final Fantasies.

 

Something I'm not sure youre thinking about is the fact that Nomura didnt really design any characters before FF7. That was his debut as a Final Fantasy character director. Even Setzer was slightly controversial, but he had most of the input on his design in FF6, and therefore had no problem with the permissions to use him in KH2.

It kinda all comes down to how Amano feels, I think... But I dont really know much about him, just that he's also an amazing artist.

 

i would expect Radiant Garden to have a large role in this game so it is highly likely that Final Fantasy characters would show up. I think they should also start connsidering more preFF7 characters. people who aren't real FF fans (like me) don't know that much about the older stuff and it'd be nice to get introduced to them.

That's a good way to look at it, I guess....

But that's considering when/if Radiant garden is really introduced in this game. If the "memory of Xehanort" means KH2 Xehanort is involved in this game, we may either get to visit Radiant Garden, see it at the end of the game, or not see it at all. Though there might not be any new characters from that world, besides those that were there before it was taken over by darkness, so my hopes are still low. >.>

 

It was Days that was confirmed for no FF characters.
In the recent interview with Nomura last month, he wouldn't say if there would be FF characters in Birth By Sleep. It was like "you'll see" comment.
