Note to Self (and anyone else bored enough to pretend to care):

If you use Gamefly don't put sequels to games on your list at all if you haven't played the original. Gamefly just jumped four games on my list and is sending me FF X-2.

So FF fans, how confused am I going to be playing this?

 

From what I can tell, no more confused than the people who played expecting a serious sequel to FFX.

 

From what I hear, about as serious as this scene.

You know what I usually do when I hear that sound?
Throw things at the stupid seagulls that are harassing me.
In Japanese he and Yuna sound like crows, so I'm not sure if that's a step up.

But to be honest what made me laugh the most from this video is that Tidus's line is labeled with "Baboon", not "Tidus".

Well okay their laughs are a bit weird sounding but I thought it was a sweet scene. D:

 

Well as far as I can tell, the point was that they were sounding like idiots. Then at the end they were laughing at themselves.

Baboon was a nice touch, I also like how it cuts to the party and Auron looks like he's about to stab Tidus. Granted he pretty much always looks like he either is about to kill someone, just did, or both.

That was the point. Like how when you're with friends you laugh at the silliest things. I liked that scene too. The other characters were like "yeah...whatever." but it's a sweet scene nonetheless.

 

Do yourself a favor and skip X-2.

 

I played the first couple of hours today. It doesn't seem quite that bad. The only points I've got is 1) It is really easy to wander off into areas with monsters that are too strong for you. 2) I can't stand using the Songstress mode because thier singing sucks.

FFX-2 reminded me of this. I've never played the game, though.
