Could we get a thing in you're User infromation next to location, Avatar etc saying what Gender you are. This way it can avoid confusion about genders and help to stop enbarrasing situations.

It could also help to stop people from getting offended.

Or, folk could start checking others profiles instead. It's just sheer laziness.

It would be handy for lazy members (you know who y'all are!), but the wee info section will get overcrowded.

The gender is on the profile of the user

They can go there and check it if people actually put their gender

xD some people also like to put the opposite gender of what they are. So even with gender info more clearly visible, it still wouldn't be fully accurate.

    xD

No, like everybody stated before, if they want to see their gender, they simple go and check his/her profile, and yes, sometimes they put the opposite gender.

    So no :/.

And other times, they just choose not to put a gender at all. This usually happens with new users who don't know how to edit their profile.

However, once you select either one of them, you'll be forced to display one or the other and can no longer leave it blank.

    Gender Display?

There's been a lot of confusion here over who's a guy and who's a gal.
I've seen this on some forums. In roughly the same area as a user's location, they had a place showing the person's gender. I just figured it'd be handy, considering hardly anybody clicks on people's profiles to check if they're a girl or guy.
    Thoughts?

... The gender of people can be viewed on their profile if they wish to show it and tell the truth when having it displayed.

I like it XD Half the people I'm friends with now, I got their gender wrong when I first talked to them :sweatdrop:

... And like three times someone got my gender wrong  XD I still can't figure that one out...

People are too lazy to go all the way to someone's profile. They'd have to use the forbidden back button to get back to the thread =O

Even if we did have it so you could view it in the place you want it, you still wouldn't be able to tell who is a girl and who is a guy xD People sometimes put the opposite for a joke, or they don't put either. So Even if you could see it you still would have that confusion.

If you really are curious about someone's gender then you can go to their profile and view what they have put there.

Sorry love Im going to say no to this suggestion, there is no point in having it.

Not really any point of having it. LOL Like CTR said, they can joke and say they are the opposite gender. Just deal with it. I'm messed genders up all the time. It's part of life.

While I have been called a guy on multiple occasions, there is an option on the profile already. And all it takes is one little click.
Besides, if you've known someone for a while, you usually know their gender. >.>
I'm gonna say no to this too.

I actually support this idea. I like having it displayed directly. Why not? And who honestly bothers (or remembers for that matter) checking out the profile for the gender?

It's actually not a bad idea, as I'm also a victim of constant gender confusion, however, I still decline this. Yes, albeit it's helpful if the gender is directly displayed with the info under the UNs, you still cannot know the truth for sure, my lovely. Considering just how -SERIOUS- and -MATURE- most of the members are in this forum . . . :sideways: . . . they'd only mess around with it some more, just for the hell of it and for kicks. *shrugs* Either that, or not even put a gender down in the first place. So it still doesn't really help if the members are just fooling around with it. Besides, it's just what? Two clicks to find out the gender of a members by going on their profile. Is it really that tedious and bothersome to click your mouse twice to view something? O.o

I confuse so many people's genders on the forum, and I know a bunch of people think that I am a boy.

    I AM NOT >.> okay

Anyway, it's not a must, but I support it :3
