Spoiler Y-yeah. I found this lying in my photobucket from a while ago, it was a conceptual design for a planet-level involved in a videogame project I was working on with an e-friend(though we don't speak much anymore). Plus I used to do planet designs quite a lot a few years ago. So I thought i'd post this, considering it is graphic art. CnC? No ratings, you know the drill.
First off, Holy **** this is big! Now that I got that out of the way ^^" Its really pretty, i like how the sun, or something bright, appears to be behind the planet. It makes the whole picture darker and brighter at the same time. I'm not sure if those are clouds or craters on the planet, but they make the darker parts look great. I love it!
I'm guessing Digital/earthian theme. It's really good. The only criticism I'd have is that the gradiant map is a bit too green (I think you used a gradiant map ^_^) I like the land surface as well and the bright whateveritis behind the planet really draws your attention to it.
