I don't see the US making the first move. It'd be another country stepping in first. After all, we only step in where we shouldn't anymore, right? Besides, making a move to soon could be bad. That's like pulling a trigger too a gun that's pointed at you. I'm sure a country that size could easily be wiped out, but I don't think the ratio of innocent to not is great enough to make a move on that scale. I'm sure they'll move on to some other threat soon, and forget about this one.
