Kingdom Hearts III Nomura Wants Marvel and Star Wars....

I think those articles are reading a bit too much into what Nomura said
"I ask Disney what I'm allowed to use in Kingdom Hearts"
"Nomura wants Star Wars and Marvel in KH!"

Either way a Star Wars world would never work. How do you like something with a universe as big as Star Wars and scale it down to fit in kingdom hearts? One world with a thousand worlds in it?

 

Death Star level, you have Han, Luke, Ben, Chewbacca and Leia, recreate the death star scenes from the middle of Episode IV, boss is Darth Vader? Or a heartless tries to stop Sora, Luke and such from escaping on the millennium falcon

 

But that's stupid because why the hell is there just a random Death Star floating in the middle of nothing? The amounts of explaining that would be needed to make it actually work and the explanations I can actually see them using are just no.

If he wants them we don't know it. We know some worlds he's wanted like for example Jungle Book ,which he tried to put in several games, but if he does want Star Wars or Marvel to be in KH (which is honestly very unlikely. Especially Marvel) we don't know. The articles are just taking his words as something they're not.

 

No, because KH is all about fanservice, and the original trilogy is the popular one

 

True, but (most) of the actors from the more recent trilogy are still around and still sound like they did when they did the movies. I dunno. I'd be just as happy to run into Han Solo and hear Harrison Ford, as I would to see and hear Ewan MgGregor in a Kingdom Hearts game. Fan service could go either way, because even though it can be claimed that the original trilogy is more popular, the validity is somewhat cloudy do to it being more a dividing factor in a irrreverant fan-feud over which is better.

 

For once I have no valid and witty response, but I just think a Star Wars world would suck because it would be done wrong and they wouldn't pick anything cool, they'd stick with original trilogy **** which has been done thousands of time.

 

I HIGHLY doubt they would bring in the actual Star Wars voice actors. They have sound alikes that are used for even official Star Wars products.

Yeah, I can't see it being done very well either, and I don't think it's too likely, but the good thing about KH is that even if something you don't like gets in... it's only going to last like half an hour :P

No better than Winnie the Pooh, Nightmare Before Christmas or Pirates of the Caribbean

 

I'm sorry if I come off as contrary, but while I do not totally debunk the logic of your doubt, it's been highly evident that other games hire sound-a-likes, whether the original voice actor is alive or not, but Kingdom Hearts gets the original voice actor when possible. An exception I can think of would have to be most of Pridelands. The usually used sound-alikes for Simba and Timon were used, while Scar was somebody new to replace Jeremy Irons, I think. All the same, one has to admit, the point that Hercules in KH I was a soundalike, then in KH II, Sean Astin. As video games become as prestigious as movies/television, the appeal as work increases.

Plus, if you were to say: "Hey, Ewan, we want you to be Obi-won again for a big project that will last in memory, not just another shameless Computer animated sequel", you'd probably be stopped at Obi-won. xD

 

The bigger actors though, get soundalikes. None of the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean returned
And the soundalikes aren't just used for games. They have voice actors portray obi wan and such in the official, clone wars series

I can't see it happening... even a "world of (marvel) heroes" would be simpler as they are all at earth

 

If they are doing a star wars bit then have a star wars the clone wars thing where the Jedi are searching for the seperatists who seem to be looking for something to turn the tide of the war. makes it seem plausable just show a random world and have a four way death match (Xemnas, Jedi, Sith, and Sora)
