Kingdom Hearts II Nobody question

Right. So I was talking to my friend who hasn't played any KH but know's the plot enough to read the fictions. Anyway, she asked me to explain the nobodies and I did but either I was missing something, forgot something from KH1, or I found a plot hole.

So, Nobodies (human forms, like Axel and Roxas) are made when people with Strong hearts become Heartless, yes? So, I remeber Sora becoming a heartless and why, thus we get Roxas. But when did Kairi become a heartless to get Namine? Unless I am forgeting or missing something. Did it have something to do with her heart being in Sora's?

Anyone think they can explain that to me please?

^Ok. I was talking with her some more and then thought about maybe Kairi becoming a heartless when her heart went to Sora so we got Namine. It kinda makes sense...except that she never changed forms. She was just kinda...comatose. Hm. Thanks Angel <3

 

This is how I understand Nobodies and Heartless.

When someone dies they become a heartless and nobody, the power of each one is based on the darkness in a heart and the strength of the person’s soul respectively. In the case of Kairi, she died forming Namine but had no darkness to create a heartless due to being a princess of heart. At the moment of her death her heart took refuge inside of Sora’s.

Later on Sora sacrificed himself to call out Kairi’s heart. When he did this it created a shadow and Roxas. The light of Sora’s heart was falling through the darkness until reconnected to his heartless by Kairi.

Also while we’re kind of on the subject, Riku used powers of darkness and even let himself be possessed by a heartless but never became one himself so that is why he does not have a nobody.

 

That makes sense. And I understood Riku not having a nobody. My conversation actually started with me friend with her saying "So Axel is Riku's nobody, right?" I was like "Erm...no...I thought You'd played the game before..." Then I started wondering about Kairi and Namine because I couldn't quite piece it together with them xD.

 

Namine was born as a result of Sora releasing Kairi's heart. Because Kairi had no darkness in her heart, when Destiny Islands was destroyed, her body remained whole, and her heart became embedded in Sora. So, when Sora stabbed himself with the Soul Taker, both his and Kairi's hearts were released, created the Nobodies Roxas and Namine. Roxas is a direct Nobody of Sora, but Namine is a combination of Kairi's heart and Sora's body and soul, thus giving her power over Sora and being a connecting piece among Sora, Kairi, and Roxas.

 

^ So, it is the releasing of hearts that causes a nobody, and not them turning into a heartless?

 

Well if it was turning into a heartless, Namine couldn't exsist. I think Disney just doesn't want to directly say death.

 

ok. This nobody thing is just too complicated sometimes xD. There needs to be a book just for KH2 to go indepth on the whole Nobody/heartless thing. And if there is, then it needs to be translated! Haha.

Guess I just always saw it more as the Nobody/heartless coming about after the heart was given or taken away. So Namine came about when Kairi gave her heart to Sora, but then when Sora freed Kairi's heart, he gave up his own for that short amount of time before Kairi brought him back. Wah, my own idea's are getting jumbled into the explanations ^_^;;

And hey, the old Disney movies before Pixar had a lot of death xD. Lion King anyone? That went on the whole guilt trip of "YOU KILLED YOUR OWN FATHER!" haha. Bambi...ah, I can't think of many more at the moment, but it always seemed mentioned in some way. Anyone who saw Lion King 2, the evil lioness's song about how she was going to kill Simba and basically torture his daughter while Nala watched was a little on the dark side. Haha, of course, I guess that would just gloss over the younger kids heads. *shrugs* Anyways, I digress! haha.

Yeah it does get really confusing at times. I just have a tendency to look into random details.

^^;; well,yes, there are those. I haven't really finished KH2 yet, so I don't have them all. I'm actually only on my second time around the worlds, but I've watched all the cut scenes and pretty much know what happens. I guess I'll just have to read them xD. It just suckes that I can't get them in the game in order. I'll read through them all...kh-vids has them don't they? *goes to look* Know I've found sites in the past with them.

But still, I understand the nobody thing, Namine just threw me for a loop when I stopped to think about it xD. Couldn't figure out how in the world she came about other then from Kairi =3

 

Dont worry. Namine through Ansem for a loop if you read his reports. Shes a special nobody.

 

The reports aren't perfect, despite some people quoting it like a bible when it comes to some KH info, but you have to admit they are very helpful.

 

Ok, I may be late, but I can try to explain this.

A strong hearted person loses their heart to a heartless.They create a nobody. Depending on strength of heart, they either take human form or dusk/ lesser form. Also, you should notice all human nobodies have the same name as the whole person, just re arranged and wit an x. ie sora=roxas ansem= xemnas. Don't ask about Axel. Plz don't.
