Xirkane dissolved the metal in a second and deposited it in the 46th demension.

 

The portal closed after Xiron, leaving Xirkane behind. Xiron stepped into the Traverse Town pub through the alleyway just behind the Superior.

"Thank you lord, but I need not of it." Xiron called forth a rather large pouch of Munny from his pocket.

Bar patron: Yeah, man? You guys mugga's or summat?

Xiron stared the man down and payed for the drinks.

 

Raxen sat hunched over sipping his tea before the drinks

 

Xiron saved his tea for later. It cooled his nerves after a drink. He took a long draught of ale.

Suspicious whispers flew at them from every other table in the pub.

 

i've always hated towns like these Raxen said after a sip

 

"They can't help it. Every one of them has lost their world to the darkness. Its not their fault they have no one left to trust. And we aren't exactly the most innocent looking fellows." Xiron said, conversationally to Raxen. He did not want these people to hear every word, but if he whispered, he knew the patrons would think them more suspicious than ever.

Xiron turned and looked at the shady glances and shifty eyes. Each and every face was familiar, although none he had seen before.

"I lived on a world like this bar."

Xiron smiled into his tankard. Several speculatory looks became looks of complete confusion. Most of the rest stayed.

 

sir another tea, Raxen said raising his cup

 

"Now, what was the point of ordering every drink on the menu, if you're going to sip tea all night?"

Bar Patron 1: What's up with those two?

Bar Patron 2: Idunno. Ah can tell'ah one thing, though. They are't from round here. Not e'en if thei' wo'ld got distroyed.

Bar Patron 3: I know what you mean. They aren't one of us. How did they get here?

Bar Patron 2: Idunno. But ah plan tuh fin' out....

 

Raxen glance over there as his tea was being refilled, his eyes were turning red-orange



then he turned to Xiron, "i like to be calm when i drink"

 

Bar Patron 2, who had first accused Xiron and Raxen of being "muggas" now stood up and headed for the table.

 

Raxen saw the oncoming patron, he rubbed his forehead in annoyance

 

Bar Patron: Hey! Ya'too! Wha-
