Nobodies Return (#2! RETRY)

Almost ignoring Sarxalis, Xiron looked up and pulled Sarxalis out of the way, as a scythe swung by her head, catching itself on the hilt of Xiron's shortsword, that had swung up too fast for the eye to follow.

 

Almost falling as Xiron pulled her out of the way she looked up, how had she not seen that coming? Regaining her own balance she stood and pulled out her own sword turning she faced their opponent of the present and the face of her past

 

Marluxia came behind Xiron and hit him

Xiron jumps back and hangs in the air by his armour. There was a throne at the end of the hall - just like what he had seen in Zexion's basement; no doubt Marluxia's - made of metal. Just what he needed.

7 short lances came flying out of the seat and began pelting Marluxia.

 

Anger built up deep inside of Sarxalis, this ....person had destroyed her last life she wasn't going to let him ruin this one, angrily she swung equilibrium and slashed Marluxia's scythe arm

 

Marluxia was blown back by 4 lances but blocked two, as the last one came he grabbed it and in a turn threw it back straight at Xiron then his arm was hit by Sarxalis and he dropped his scythe ," well, you think you can fight now?"

 

Xiron moved just in time to dodge the lance. He saw Sarxalis hit Marly's arm.

Marluxia's grip loosened on his scythe - perfect. Today was full of luck for Xiron..

from his point above their heads, Xiron called the scythe out of Marluxia's hand and let it levitate behind him, just as the third claymore had done in Zexion's basement.

 

Sarxalis watched whilst waiting for her moment, she knew this one was going to be tough and that to be to hasty would be their downfall, watching as the lance levitated behind Xiron she made sure Marluxia's attention was diverted before sliding out her Rose Blade (oh the irony) and making her way towards him

Xiron jumped against a wall and pushed off to get more momentum, then lugged the scythe at Marluxia, hitting him square on the chest.

marluxia picked out the scythe that had stuck itself inside his chest, and dissapeared behind Sarxalis and hitting her

Stung by his earlier comment over her fighting skills Sarxalis prepared herself as she saw Marluxia stagger back after being hit, she went closer still raising her daggar as she did so surely it can't be this easy she thought to herself before pushing the thought out of her mind and focusing her attention

His dissapearance to hit her from behind pissed her off, "still a coward then i see" she muttered angrily

 

Xiron knew this was Sarxalis' fight, and that she was the one who had to defeat him. Who or what he was that caused Sarxalis so much pain, he knew not. All he knew, was that if he did not help, her anger could get her killed.

He launched the lances at Marluxia again, this time missing with all but one, which stuck itself deep into his left forarm.

 

As the lances flew past her Sarxalis's eyes deepened to jet black, emerald green lightning flashed across them, turning she saw the lance embed in Marluxia's arm, grinning she twirled her blades, she would not let him catch her unawares again

 

marluxia stepped back after it forced itself into his arm then he went towards Sarxalis, "Did, you say coward? Well i remember you, that look of fear when the heartless took you"

 

Xiron stood by, ready to help, 2 lances still swirling slowly around him. He kept himself mere inches above the ground, not realizing that he had lowered, listening to the conversation.

 

"That was me from the past, hmmm I'm stronger than her, you wont betray me again" memories flickered in the air, damn she couldn't lose her concentration, she could die, Xiron could... no that wont happen she shook her head in an attempt to erase the past, focusing she narrowed her gaze, she was starting to enjoy this

 

"how long has it been?" since that fool you once were lost everything?" Marluxia steadied his scythe in both his hands

 

Xiron smiled. She was strong. She was confident. She was focused. He thought back to his days training his comrades. These were things that they had to learn. Strong, but thoughtful. Confident, but humble. Focused, but open-minded. The humility of Sarxalis was all he worried for, but could not coach her on it now. He floated, watching the battle.

 

" I was never a fool, I was an innocent, I should thank you really,if you hadn't done what you did I would never be here to ruin you now" she steadied her blades and pulled herself in to a fighters stance, "But I have to ask, why me? why Larissa? she saved your life and you stole hers?"

 

".... darkness is a funny thing, how it corupts a person's mind" Marluxia went into stance, "but that was past , let's see you suffer now!"
