Nine Kingdom

Alastair saw his opponent charging him, he was confused as to why the guy would be charging him, especially since he gave him food. Alastair drew his sword ready to block but before they could clash the ground shook, at first Alastair though an Airship was firing at them but it was Alyssa charging right back at Vitan and swung her tail at him, hitting him in the stomach and sending him flying.

 

Vitan went flying many yards away from where he ran and hit the ground, sending sand and dirt everywhere. Vitan did not get back up, but he was still alive. Vitan just could not believe how badly that had hurt. He couldn't even believe he was still alive. Vitan figured he was done... he hurt so badly all over that he didn't want to get up. Some fighter, huh?

Vitan continued to sit there contemplating what he could have done differently, while also waiting for Alastair to come over and kill him.

 

Eins didn't notice the oncoming fire magic as he ran, Zwei however did so quickly drawing his sword, he cut through the one aiming right and him with the aid of some light magic. "Keep an eye out for magic!" He called out. After dodging two attacks other than the one closing in on him, Eins had his sword out and using it at a way of defense since it was certainly big enough.

 

The Captain ran out of the city with a few of his men. The captain was crippled and walking with a limp. He screamed out to Eins and Zwei "LEAVE! GET OUT OF HERE! THE CITY HAS FALLEN! THERE IS NOTHING LEFT! LEAVE WHILE YOU'VE GOT THE CHANCE!"

 

Suri watched in horror was Vitan was knocked back, she wasn't sure if he was dead but he had to do something before she had been claimed next. Suri rushed forward and casted a spell that formed the sand into a serpentine-like form that rushed at Alastair and Alyssa.

 

They both stopped in their track when they heard the captain shout. "If that's the case, then you don't think-?" "Don't be ridiculous, if Drei has survived this long, then he probably got out if he was here." Said Eins, turning away from the burning city. "Come on, if were back to square one then we need to at least find some place to that or some other people." Zwei said nothing more, just followed behind Eins.

 

As soon as the two turned around the group of soldiers exploded, their bodies flying everywhere as Commander Kenton landed behind the commander, before the commander could react Kenton sliced his head off and walked past as the body hit the ground. “Time to die” he casually said to Eins and Zwei.

Alyssa used her wings wind from her wings to scatter the sand from the spell as Alastair sheathed his sword “Stop attacking” he said to the mage.

 

Eins turned to where he heard the voice and saw the carnage before them. "So, you think you can take us on." There was a clear smirk of eagerness on his face as he drew his sword. Zwei merely drew his katana and looked at the commander from his helmet.

 

It was sudden, but in between Eins and Zwei a Light Spell from an airship exploded, the blast sending them flying. Meanwhile Imperial Soldiers started marching towards the city, their numbers at least in the tens of thousands. Lyle held Grand Reave in hand as he walked closer, not afraid as behind him the ten Dragon Riders of the Guardian order landed behind him, as soon as he was within distance he swung at Zwei.

 

After being hit the sand fell out of form and landed in seven separate mounds around Suri that were aligned in a perfect circle. " How can I stop attacking?! Because of you many have died !!! DAMN YOU !!" Suri shouted as tears rolled down her cheeks.

 

“What are you talking about?” Alastair asked confused, why were these two so mad at him, he hadn’t done anything. ‘Are they mad because I couldn’t stop the attack?’ he wondered to himself ‘If they are they are hypocrites’

 

Vitan barely managed to get up. "You... said you were... from Serephim... You must have been a spy, telling the army of our strengths and weakness's... that's the only thing I can think of.." Vitan walked slowly, with a limp towards Alastair. He used his sword as a crutch. Even though he was coming at Alastair he was hardly a threat... "Now, my home is in tatters... and there was nothing I could do to stop it." Vitan began tearing up at the thought.

 

“Are you an idiot?” Alastair said in disbelief “I can’t believe it, did you miss the part where I said Aria and Seraphim?!” Alastair asked almost shouting “My mother’s homeland is burning while I was exiled from my own homeland for carrying her blood within me, the last thing I want to do is help them burn cities to the ground for disagreeing!” Alastair kept his voice under control until the end where he was practically shouting, just because he was half seraphim he was labelled a bad guy, again.

 

Vitan sniffed and for a few seconds he was quiet. He had made a terrible mistake. Vitan realized that he had been brash and foolish. It had become clear that he attempted to attack an innocent man. Vitan continued to walk towards Alastair with his head held down. And when he got to Alastair, he looked him in the eye's. "I'm sorry." Vitan said. Vitan looked away for a moment, looked back into Alastair's eye's and then looked away once again. Vitan then began walking towards Suri.

 

Before Vitan could get to Suri Alastair looked up, fear cover his face as a massive shadow came over the group “Look out!” Alastair shouted as the ground behind Vitan exploded, sending him fly up into the air. “Alyssa get him!” Alastair ordered as Alyssa flew straight up and caught Vitan in her front leg. Alastair ran forward and grabbed Suri by the hand and practically started dragging her towards a small hill.

 

Suri's eyes widened at the sight , seeming to be frozen with shock which she snapped out of it when Alastair dragged her off to the hill. She finally started to run so that he wouldn't have to drag her and she headed towards the hill.

 

Zwei didn't have time to worry about his friend's safety cause he was too busy dealing with the problem at hand. When the blade was swung at him, he quickly blocked it with his own sword.

 

Suddenly another bombardment was upon then. However, a man appeared out of nowhere and raised his hands up at the approaching attack. The man let out a yell of pain and anguish as he created a massive shield of dark magic to deflect the on coming attack and he did it, successfully. However, the man was in horrible shape. He began running towards Alastair's group "Please, I beg you, take me with you!" the man said to Alastair "I am weak now, but I have been doing much fighting. Take me with you and I promise I will be an useful asset!"

While eating her food, she heard the door open in front of the monastery. She sighed, assuming it was the tax collectors. Ugh...I thought I payed the rent on time. Damn priests. They must've forgotten to place the building down when I told them to pay it off. She got up and headed to the entrance, not expecting to find a guy her age. At first glance, she would've assumed he was some intruder here to steal from the monastery. The last victim didn't leave intact, but he didn't look like he was going to rob the place. Umm...can I help you?​

 

The other side of the hill was a steep decline, once on top of the hill Alyssa flew pass it as Alastair jumped and landed on the saddle, as the dragon flew around Alastair examined the field, Suri, the new comer and what looked like two people near the city, he could only take three more people with him, someone needed to be left behind and it was his choice. Alyssa flew low and snatched Suri and the new comer up into her claws and flew towards the entrance “Only one” Alastair said to himself as he flew above them, avoiding the Airship bombardment. As Kenton kept Zwei concentrated on him another two Knights approached Zwei and swung at him from the sides as another headed towards Eins.
