To tell the truth I had one last night. Well I guess it could be called a nightmare anyway.
I was laying in my bed tied up and I couldn't see anything properly, my eyes were very blurred, but I could hear a voice talking about something that made me distressed and aggitated. I did calm down after a while, and while the voice was sleeping I was plotting my way to get out of my room and out of my restraints whilst blind. It wasn't one of my most pleasent dreams so I would class it as a nightmare.

Also, I have frequent dreams about a zombie-like apocalypse, where everyone I meet is a zombie, and some times i'm running through the highstreet, or into someones house trying to escape these creatures, though I can never rememberfighting them. I'm guessing it's because I love zombie flicks that I enjoy those types of dreams.

And those people who sometimes dream of 'future' events, those dreams could be described as a quantum event, whereby in a hypnotic state time could easily flow through the mind and see into the past or future. But that's a hypothesis.

i have episodic nightmares...they pick up where they left off...and they form their own series...so when one series ends the next picks up...sometimes they go off the air for like...a year or two and are replaced with other nightmares but they come back and it turns out the producers just wanted to give the new ones a chance to prosper

like i had a nightmare about a monkey with a knife chasing me on a toy rocking horse

first dream i never saw him but i knew what he was...oddly...i was tied down to my bed and couldn't move but was viewing this from outside my body

second dream he was at the foot of my bed crawling up and under my covers...still i never saw him but i knew what he was

third dream i felt his evil monkey hairs rubbing against my legs as he slowly climbed up to my chest

    fourth dream he "killed" me...

next dream i woke up in the floor of my room with a chest wound

anyways....long story short the last dream i was searching for him as he poped in and out of my chester drawers and i was yanking all the drawers out i finnaly found him and he put the knife to my face and i asked him "can't we just be friends"...

    and the dreams ended

I suppose nightmares in a sense are the unwanted feelings we gain throughout the days (maybe an event may lead to months worth of nightmares, depending on the person) and is more expressed at nighttime... and at times it could be trying to tell you something, almost like a hidden message within a nightmare.. But that doesn't happen often.

Have you even bothered to read the thread? He didn't ask for help.
I think you may have missed this:
So yeah, this stays open. I don't lock a thread just because some random kid asks me to. XD

Usually have a nightmare or a terrifying moment in a middle of a dream, everything would be fine within the dream and then all of a sudden something terrible or just downright horrible would start happening. It's like having a nightmare in the middle of the dream, don't wake up in terror though because usually just cry within the dream and get out all off the feelings within the dream whether it's anger or just tears. It's really weird.

    I rarely have nightmares.

Most of the time when I do, it usually ends in me dying and waking up somewhat flustered.
But there are times where I have them where I do not die in the end, and other people do. It's usually those types of nightmares that I believe is my subconscious trying to get across a lesson for me.

(I had one the other night where one of my KHV friends had killed my irl ones after they made of of the KHV friend. When I woke up from this, I thought about it and I realized that I'm not as close with my irl friends as I thought I was >> )

Overall, I would have to say that like dreams, nightmares are also necessary to try to teach you something you may refuse to believe or are unable to recognize in life.

Nightmares are like my sickness to me. I used to have them every night. I don't get them as often as I used to, but still. Having nightmares every night is the reason why I detest horror movies. Most them were basically things chasing me, like dinosaurs, or ghosts. Some of my dreams sometimes turn out alright, but they end horribly. I used wake up scared to freakin' death just thinking about them.

I don't really have nightmares that often but when I do it'll either start out as one from the moment I fall asleep or i'll be having a normal dream and it will just go horribly wrong and take a turn for the worst. Usually thought I just remember that it's just a dream created by MY mind. As long as I remember that I can get rid of it.

When I have a nightmare it'll usually be some type of outrageously unbelieveable thing chasing me like a hoarde of zombies, a mummy, or a vampire (No not a Cullen, more like Dracula) and i'll be running for my life the entire time. Others that I care about will usually get picked off one by one if they're present at all. Usually though I am on my own. It'll almost always end up in them getting meand me waking up scared out of my mind.

If I wake up in the middle of it and I fall asleep again it'll just pick up right where it left off. When it happens like that I usually end up staying awake and not falling asleep for the rest of the night. I hate it.

I just recently had a nightmare where my own mother killed my best friend's 11-13 year old sister, and shoved the body in our toilet. I woke up thinking two things, do NOT use the bathroom, and do NOT fall asleep. Well i fell asleep, and it continued to a point where my mother cut up the body, and got caught and arrested. and i saw the body parts on some table or something. and i was a bit freaked out after i woke up.

I have no clue why i had this nightmare at all. it just scared the living daylights out of me.

The worst nightmare I have had (and the only one I can remember) is that Big Bird from Sesame Street was on the hill about a mile from my house and he was like godzilla and he was smashing cars and buildings, and shooting lazers out of his eyes. Freaked me out.

I don't like nightmares. I hate being scared. It's uncomfortable, and frightening. When I have a nightmare, it terrifies me, because my nightmares are... not about blood-soaked zombies.

I think I'm more nightmare prone to when I stay up late, but I've never had a nightmare where I've woken on screaming or crying, they disturb me and sometimes freak me out, but they aren't so bad compared to what they could be I suppose...
