News of the Kingdom Hearts anime!

A Kingdom Hearts anime. Is it possible? Well, according to this experienced and apparently accurate fan site, it is. Next to those daring words was the phrase "In Production." Furthermore, the Kingdom Hearts anime was listed under the "New Production" category, meaning that these shows have just been introduced. A shocking discovery indeed, thanks to KHN's observant eyes.


So what does this mean? Is a Kingdom Hearts anime on the way with a whole bucketful of fresh new Japanese animations? The answer remains to be revealed. Although this newly founded information does seem convincing, it is unknown as to how long this Kingdom Hearts anime has been listed in the "New Production" section for, and as to whether or not Moon Phase simply made a mistake.


If you think about it, we have a heap of Kingdom Hearts related material already heading our way. With the arrival of three new Kingdom Hearts titles, could an anime possibly be squeezed into the release of these anticipated sequels? After all, Square-Enix must be considerably occupied with the production and release of these games, so one can only guess. And quite frankly, that's all one can do when presented with a rumor.

Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura (director of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children) says that a theatrical Kingdom Hearts anime could be in the works. After they base an animated film on a video game that has Disney characters in it, I sure hope they make a new video game based on that anime.

I just feel they're alittle too childish. That's just my opinion.
I mean KH1 was pretty dark for a game with Disney characters and to have it lightened up with too many jokes and story changes feels wrong.
It's okay if you like them, I'm critical of most forms of literature. (Twilight, Harry Potter etc.)

 

I've seen and heard about a few. Some of them were very random.

 

they made kh into a manga...this became popular what do they do with popular mangas? turn em into animes...its only natural kh becomes anime

Well its a good thing and a bad thing...I mean kingdom hearts isnt so far off final fantasy..just not turnbased and with disney characters...but the thing is it was made to be a game...nothing more...making an anime kinda destroys that objective dont it?

 

but that doesnt stop me from sitting here going "THERES GONNA BE A KH ANIME WOOOOOOOO!" what does stop me is if i caught staying awake its my head

 

I'm not entirely sure I'd want it to become an anime; don't get me wrong, I would like to see it, but the style would have to complement the game, not the manga, extremely well. A movie would be a better idea, in my opinion.

 

Thats a good point...I mean final fantasy was a hit...But its kinda hard to come up with because none of them are actually directly the story from the game its more future from there...you cant really do that with kh

 

Actually, that's probably a good point: They should do it like FF; make a movie after the game series...maybe something in-between BBS and KH1, or after KHII before KHIII (or whatever it is they plan to be after KHII).

 

Well theres never been a gap in the kh games before...its just as detailive(real word?) as a full book leaves no gaps unless theres nothing to see...when the series is finished they could do an aftermath.

 

I think you mean 'detailed' XDD; I'm sure they can think of something, like they've realized there's something else to do, or what have you. But, then again, the aftermath would be the easiest...betcha, even after all that's happened to Sora and Kairi, Nomera still wouldn't have them be affectionate towards each other XDD.

I wouldn't mind seeing it as an anime, I mean if they made one I'd probably watch to see what they did and what the plot was, but I'm not entirely sure if there could be a plot. With FFVII it was just a single game at that time and we already knew what happened. It's easier to create a movie to a FF game because it's just a single installment or a compilation where they work backwards or add some new details for the future. Though FFVII isn't particularly the best example because they are milking whatever they can out of that over-hyped game. If KH were to become an anime there's not much new stuff that they would be able to add in without them giving anything from the new games away. If it were to happen, it might happen long after all of the games have been released when they can go back and detail things some more or work on a future where he goes off to fight random missions.

 

An anime would be quite cool, but I think the character design would have to stay true to the game as opposed to the manga, which was a bit to babyish for my liking. Something about it just seemed...off.
