It actually works to my advantage with the addition of the channel art feature. I can make a banner like this in Pain and just make a new one each time I update: Last Updated: X/XX/XXXX I currently have it in my About Me. I used to have it in my header, but About Me and the header were combined in the last new channel layout, so instead of saying "About AmauryGarcia," it would say "About Last Updated: X/XX/XXXX." Edit - 8:48 PM PT: Well, so much for that. It can be no smaller than 2560 x 1440, but stupid PhotoBucket won't re-size to any bigger than 819 x 819.
So how well do the new channels work? From what I've seen and explored, they work well but there's little to customize besides the banner.
Okay for me. I don't particularly care for customization on YouTube. I mean, I enjoyed customizing my YouTube, but when they removed a lot of customization in the last new layout, it didn't bother me.
I'm fine as long as the channel functions. I'm just glad they made the channel comments easy to find again. XD Just switched over, Now I just gotta find something to put in my banner.
Is it account-based or temporary-based? And PhotoBucket works fine because I usually just use it to downsize avatars Llave makes for me as 200 x 200 for the other forums I visit that have lower dimension limits.
Yeah, I was disappointed with the update's feature of having just a banner in terms of personalizing it. The picture is used fully for the TV function, but hell, I don't use TV to watch Youtube. But it certainly is just as easily navigational as it was before. Not really complainin' here.
Pretty ugly and unnecessary imo. Though that's become the standard for all things Google. Yes, I'm still bitter.
It's account-based in that you need an account to have any amount of control over what you upload. On the other hand, even without an account nothing is temporary because you need an account to be able to delete what you upload. Why not just use a local image editor for that? That way you can resize anything however you want and then upload it at your leisure.
Tip: When most people assume that you hate everything, you don't need to say that you hate something specific.
It shows up different on a monitor, TV (on a TV, all of it shows), and mobile device. Why can't I get it to properly show in my monitor!? *sob*
