    Well, looks like I got excited over nothing. They decide to give this awesome game attention and make other games based on it, but while all that was happening STILL NO SEQUEL?!?

    Clever phrasing, libre, using "Game" instead of "Sequel" lol. I still haven't played the original, but the reception of it has me itching to buy it.

    Wait, so just to clarify:

    This supposed new game takes place in a parallel world, where the same characters from the first game co-exist along with the "Navigator" (new girl from the secret ending)?

    I still wouldn't technically call it a "sequel" by spirit, but I'm guessing that it will eventually be a small stepping stone for the true sequel (whatever and whenever that will be released...).

    Just because they did it in one series, doesn't mean they'll do it with another.

    I'm not ruling out the possibility, but it could be they want to explore a parallel universe without tying it in to the main series.

    Not all SE games are the same. (lol that's a lie, they're all the same and you're all suckers for buying the same game for decades)

    Also, it's pretty much a confirmed West release because TWEWY is pretty damn popular with the SE fans. Hell, they release ReMix in the West. I don't see why not with this one.

    I know, I just think it's a possibility. Especially considering it looks pretty different from the original. Heck, even the plot changed! So this is a semi-sequel for me.

    GREE isn't exactly an American distributor. They haven't published one Japanese game in the States, though they do still publish here, so MAYBE.

    I don't think you're getting the point.

    This takes place in a different universe. Where things happen differently. That's why the plot changed.

    There could be some sort of wormhole where they meet their alternate selves or whatever, but considering the character design is the same, I doubt it. It just seems to be a way to keep making TWEWY games until they come out with the sequel with a new story.

    But yeah, I'm basically just repeating myself now.
