New Moon's First Trailer

I'm not going to give my opinion on this for fear of being torn to shreads by fangirls.... >> To me, there are good and bad things that I can see from this. But what I normally do with movies made from books is to try to separate them. For example: There's Twilight the book, and Twilight the movie. Regardless, I'm going to see New Moon to support this amazing cast and crew. Here's the trailer, and other news from Stephenie's son, Seth.

The books are pretty good (except for the Bella, what a poor excuse for a main character) but the movie sucked
It was cool, though, how Jacob transformed

 

I must give a round of applause to the special effects department. They did an AMAZING job on the wolf. =D In my opinion, books will always be better than movies (exception: Coraline), but I try to keep an open mind when I go see a book-made-movie. The cast of New Moon is an exceptional one, and I'll be there at midnight to suport them. ^^ (And yes, Bella is a sad excuse for a main character. She needs to get over herself. ><)

 

all i have to say is TEAM JACOB! there will be many new members and converts when they see this movie... and edward is exposed for the pansy he really is... heehee! :D

 

I loved watching this trailer, I would watch it over and over again. I can tell it has a differnt feel thanks to the new director. Also, they did change some story a little bit (which was oblivious to anyone who read the books) but I think this is a positive step. It helps bypass some boring stuff and get right into the action.

However, this is paticularly the least favorite out of the Twilight book saga. Do you think that could have any effect on overall sale?

 

i think new audiences were gained through the movie coming out, and, despite the fact that the 2nd book wasnt too popular, the large movie audience will definitely see the next one no matter how much it is. thats what i think anyway :D

 

I also spotted the differences between book and trailer. =] I think that Team Jacob people (such as my sister) will be happy. I'm looking forward to the Italy footage. ^^ I really hope that sales aren't affected by the 'lack of Edward' or whatever fans call it. I'm on Team Edward and I liked New Moon (except for Bella's craziness and all that jazz).

 

lol everyone loves bella's craziness, of course. she really does have some major character flaws that makes all the fangirls of edward say: "She doesnt deserve him i want him instead!" lol

this personally was my favorite book because i think it was when stephenie finally decided that her writing previously was very immature and sucked and started to work toward being a better author... which she made a few steps toward by the time twilight was OVER and she wrote The Host... lol

hopefully all that can be reflected in the movie :D

 

I think that New Moon will be better than Twilight, in sense of script and effects, and hopefully it won't have those outdrawn silent moments. I know they're there for emotion, but the crew should know when enough is enough. Though I'm sure that Team Jacob would love for a silent, sweet moment between Jake and Bella. ^^ I wouldn't mind it either. I'd like to see their bond grow.

I actually did not like that at all, they messed with the way it was in the book D: she isn't meant to find out about Jacob that way damnit >:C

lol thats funny and so true... i guess they have to over-accentuate the blood to make it look better on screen.... or bella just sucks XD

 

I loved the books and the Twilight Movie,and i think i'll love this one ^^ Taylor Launter looks so hot in this! >.< but im more of a Rob Pattinson gal :P or when he plays Edward Atleast, i loved how Jake changed into a wolf though, cool! :D

I actually don't really like the series anymore, but I'm just gonna see this for Taylor. :=D:

 

I can't even tell you how many times I've watched that trailer since Sunday, but I'm definitely not sick of it yet. Just by the trailer, I know this movie is going to be better than the Twilight film (in my own personal opinion, of course). One thing that I love about this is the color brought to it. The vampires still look pale, like they should be, but Bella actually has color to her skin. And it doesn't look so gloomy like the last movie, which I really like. And of course, there is Taylor. OMG, so freakin' hot. I love the fact that he is shirtless when he first appears in the trailer. xD That definitely reels the fangirls in, and I have a feeling some people will join Team Jacob after this movie. 8D I know my sister has. Also, the makeup for Kristin in this one is better; they don't make her look sick. =/

I'm excited for this, most definitely. I know that the moment where Edward leaves Bella is going to be heartbreaking, and I'm prepared for the tears, but this movie is going to freaking rock. I can't wait for November to roll around.

 

It doesn't impress me.....

 

Remember: In the book, Bella gets a paper cut from the present's wrapping. Then Jasper loses it. Edward throws Bella out of the way and she lands on the table. She is cut on her arm by a shard of the glass bowl that was broken. That's where all the blood came from. ^^

That's because... if you read the book, you know that when Edward pushes her out of the way she gets her arm sliced up by a glass vase or something. I can't remember... it was a glass something. :v MOAR DRAMA.

There will be so many new members after those Twihard leech-loving humans watch 'New Moon'. That trailer is ok, Bella's birthday turned out better than expected, so thats a plus. Laurent & the Meadow didn't impress me at all. Bella's not supposed to find out that way that Jacob's a werewolf. Its not a silent film anymore when Jacob's around :'D

 

Listen guys, I know the book and the movie are different. It happens with everything. I think the best that we can do is support this great cast by seeing the movie anyway. Like I said before: just seperate the book's story from the movie's story. Some people might think that one version is better than the other (I will always like the book better for anything). I think the movie's way of Bella finding out about Jake is an okay way of doing things (to cut time and perhaps stay in budget or whatever), but I like the book's version better because of the time it took. By the movie changing it, it takes out a chunk of the book, and gives them time to do other things properly.
