new job offer....

I got an offer to be the tech person for a travel agency, maintaining their servers, website and networks, making 25 dollars an hour, working 8+ hours a day...

the thing is....im actually torn about what to do....

right now I work at wal mart, unloading trucks, making 9.50 an hour....yeah the price jump would be FANTASTIC but....I like the physical aspect of my current job.

what do you guys think I should do?

 

Do which ever feels right for you, and what you what more. Do you want more money so you can get more stuff that you like or need, or do you want to stay doing you're already doing because you like it?

I'm sure they'll let you load some trucks at Walmart for free. :3

8 lol.....i'd be working the same amount of time for about 4 times the pay

 

I think, no offense, you would be respected more for being a tech person, than over a wal-mart job thing. Wal-mart's physical job could make you stronger by working out in an odd way. But dude, $25 for an hour? You should really get that job for that agency. No offense but anything of what I just said.

well, the money would definitely be a plus for you, but if it was me, i'd check the hours, are there benefits, do you work weekends, travel, and above all, is it something that i would enjoying doing for X amount of time.


There are always risks and gains that you must sort through when you change jobs, so i'd say weigh them and then decide.

You might enjoy the physical aspect of your job now.. but this new job offers what, 3x or 4x the amount your getting paid now?

With all the money you'll be earning, you can get a Gym membership. 8D

and yeah shades, its full medical/dental/vision benefits, I dont work weekends, monday-friday 9am-6pm(with a 1 hour lunch), I have to work in office, so no travel, but they pay for me to go anywhere I want once a year,

 

Well, knowing you, your great with technology and websites and such plus you'll be getting more money. So, quit Walmart and go with that tech guy.

It's quite simple. Take this new job, as you'll get over double the pay. Save up n' buy some weights etc. The hours are better, no? You could easily fit in a half hour work out routine each day or every few days.

You'd have to be crazy to turn this job down.

 

I say take the job. It would benefit you more than the job you're currently with. I mean, 25 dollars/hour is pretty good! And if it's homebase, that's even better!

 

I agree with this statement. Plus Travel agencies have great perks.

You may or may not agree with this but why did you get the job? : To make money, not because the physical aspects the job has you do...like the others said, go find a gym if you want a workout XD
