    I'm so excited for this <3 . My favorite series, hands down.

    I have to wonder how they plan on expanding the story, though; it seemed like it was prettymuch wrapped up. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I would hope for an anime adaptation of the extra PS2 arcs, but I know that'd just be wishful thinking ;___; .

    Updated first post with "Update 3" and preview site. So far it sounds like it will be like Rei, at least 4 OVAs and after the first one it will be a new series of some sort. o.o

    The only problem I'll have with watching this is that I CANNOT LOOK AT BERNKASTEL WITHOUT HATING HER NOW! >.>
    It's alittle late for them to go back and say "Now you can like her again"

    But yes, I'll be up for some good moodwhiplash again

    I am cautiously optimistic. Higurashi is already over, with everything wrapped up. At best, they can make an interesting spin-off with some backstory. At worst, they'll create an atrocious sequel that shames the series.

    Odd that they're focusing on this, rather than a Chiru anime. I suppose I'm grateful though. Higurashi adapts to anime form significantly better than Umineko.

    First OVA is out and subbed.

    Well, it's obvious these new ovas aren't meant to be taken seriously. That being said the first OVA was absolutely hilarious, it was a lot like the first episode of Rei. I couldn't stop laughing at Mion shooting an AK74 at Takano and Keiichi. In fact Keiichi's reaction to everything just made this episode flat out funny. So yeah, nothing serious but hey... it's more Higurashi.
