The first two match already existing staff colours almost exactly, and the third one is ugly.

What is up with these perks? The ability to see invisible members? I'd like my privacy, there's actually a reason as to why I use it. Normal members have no reason to see when I'm online.

If we're going to be using the current rep system, that rep requirment should also be bumped up quite a bit. I got 1500 rep in under six months, and at this point it's far more inflated than what it was back then. Anyone would be able to do the same. 3000 is more suitable, although I personally would enjoy a rep limit of 5000. You're trying to make it a challenge, aren't you?

You guys clearly like Noble better. Would you guys be willing to have the usergroup named Noble and the color be Royal Blue?

Very few people have rep that high. The same complaint exists for the 5,000 post limit.

If we were to make the rep requirement the only requirement that might be acceptable, but as is that is far more challenging than getting three thousand posts.

Do you really think the admins would like that?

I'm really not a fan of Royal Blue personally, for me it has to beNoble or Noble.

But that's the thing, there is a lot (a lot being like 20% of this forum) of members who would never be able to get that much rep. It needs to be something in between easy and tough. I myself have about 374 Rep Points, and I've been here two years. Some are better than others, but some can't help it if their posts suck due to a disability or whatever their reason is.

Although I agree on the invisble mode perk, a bit invading it is.

Yeah, Royal Blue is cool. I really love that color.

What? It's extremely easy to get rep, it's much quicker than posting too. One person can give over 50 rep a day, that's just one person. And it's like you want this to be something that is just handed out to everyone and their mums. Anyone can make one sentence posts in every thread, not similar to a member yesterday, and reach 3000 posts in no time. Especially since they could just reply to the other one sentences who were trying to get this thing. And then we would be back to the horrible days of not spam zone 2007.

We're open to suggestions for the third tier perk. I can understand the complaints about it, so if you guys have anything else in mind, let us know?

You chose the wrong thing to use as a reason.

Lowering the requirement to allow for a very few is not true to the actual purpose of this suggestion, and that is to increase the activity of the site and with the rep, the quality of the added activity as well.

Some people will be bad at getting rep. In an objective sense, no one has any choice in how good they are at getting it. Just as no one chooses to have a disability, no one chooses not to have one. It does not make sense to cater to a minority.

A middle ground is good, but not for the reasons you express.

I do agree with chris only on the point of being able to see invisible members should not be a perk, for anyone other than staff, since it's only fair if you're going to give people the choice to set themselves to that, they should be private when on that.

I'm not sure about a suitable replacement though, since the size upgrades for all things seems more than adequate, maybe more lines of Sig space?

True. If I come up with a better reason, I'll let y'all know.

More sig lines and more pictures allowed? Mind you, the 3rd picture would have to be smaller. I don't know, only idea I have at 2 :45 AM

EDIT: Good luck. Give 'em hell you guys.

If it is so easy as you say, then why exactly are there only sixteen members above me in rep while I have 4,317 rep points? If 5,000 is such an easy goal to obtain, then why is the number so small, and why are the members who have that much rep already considered forum legends? Most of them needed years to attain that much, and they have had them.

I personally may not be against your suggestion, but such a requirement would never be accepted by the staff. One minute you suggest an implausible number of rep and in the next you chastise someone for suggesting Royal Blue because the staff will not accept it. Make up your mind?

Let's not try to start an argument here, Makaze. If we could please keep away from chastising other member's posts and keep to suggesting changes and improvements, that would be great.

Brick Red is even closer to Mod Red than Royal Blue is to Admin Blue.

Guys, having a signature perk for the third tier wouldn't make sense. The second tier is already a signature increase, it could just be bundled up with that if need be.

If only we could have customizable user titles, then it'd be so much easier to decide on a third tier perk.
