No Thanks New 'Elite' Usergroup

You mean other ideas for usergroup names?

We could always take the nerdy route and go with Keyblade Masters.

 

Activity should not come without quality. If we can inspire members to post more as well as make quality posts, then we should do what we can. Right?

 

Totally Radical would be a pretty hip name. Legendary just sounds old hat if you ask me.

I wasn't objecting, just adding a small observation. I actually agree that there ought to be an overhaul of the rep system anyway. Adding small perks based on rep would be great, but I'd like those to be independent from post count. Personal opinion, though. I'm not directly opposed to your proposal.

I agree with the ideal that to unlock the new usergroup, one should have 3,000 posts and 2,500 reputation points. Seems fair to me.

 

Will it be simple enough to make it so a thread locked by staff can't be reopened by an elite member, as then it would simply break down to them doing as they please with any thread they make.

I am not sure if you are not taking this seriously, or honestly think that is a good idea.

It is hard not to be aware of said observation—it gets brought up every single time rep requirements are mentioned. It is annoying because the same is not true of people spamming posts—no one brings that up as if it is a concern. Bothers me to no end.

 

I think this is why premiums weren't given the ability to lock their own threads. I think the system doesn't differentiate between who made the thread. It'd basically be making them super mods.

If I remember correctly, that is. I frequent a lot of different forums, so I might be thinking of a completely different system.

 

I think 2,500 Rep is a bit too much, considering some members have a harder time than others, while there should be a rep requirement, I think 2,500 is too much. 1000 to 1500 seems a lot more fair and easier.

I also think that as far as the name goes, something like "Guardian" or "Legendary" would be cool.

 

KHV Staff have a pin called something guardians. So that won't work.

I think we should come up with something more related to Kingdom Hearts if none of these are plausible. I think Amber was thinking in the right direction, though I didn't like her suggestion itself.

No. The system is complex as it is without separate groups and you know that sexism and gender walls are going to come into it. Some members will want the other one regardless of their sex, et cetera.

 

True. My vote goes to Celestial then. It's pretty badass.

EDIT: Also, as far as the color, should we have a different one? I like it and all, but Admins are already blue, even if it is a different shade.
