I saw it a while back when I worked in retail. A lot of people don't like it because they say it looks like "monopoly money".

I didn't honestly think we could make our money look even more bland.

This video doesn't totally do the bills justice, they're actually pretty snazzy looking. I mean, the rest of the world still has way cooler money (I mean, come on, the £10 note will have Jane ****ing Austen on it) and I'm still totally for redesigning ours but I loooooove getting these puppies at work.

This gal gets it. The only thing that could make the $100 bill cooler and still have that American look to it is if Batman were on the front.

I think that if we ever put Batman on our currency I would personally exile myself from this country.

Maybe, but for the sheer coolness factor, it would be way better than some "scientist" whose only major contribution was running down to the patent office when one of his employees came up with something good and claiming it for himself. Everyone knows that fictional people never hurt anyone like that.

The president says "My fellow Americans..." at the beginning of a lot of his speeches. Does that make that his catchphrase?

I generally think we should stay away from putting pop culture figures on the currency... someone like Harriet Tubman or Elizabeth Cady Stanton I think would be better suggestions.

okay going to be speaking seriously now. And for the record, I agree with you.

As much as I would love this idea of having a woman on the currency, I just don't see it happening. Considering that this country cannot wrap its heads around the idea of a woman being president, let alone the idea of putting the image of one on currency. When the biggest argument against electing a woman president seems to be 'lol she might get her period and nuke Florida!' or something similar. When a woman does not have free reign over her body and cannot make her own decisions regarding it. When birth control is not covered under health insurance yet erectile dysfunction pills and penis pumps are. [ Because *GASP* birth control does other stuff than preventing pregnancy. ]

This country has severe deficits when regarding anyone that is not an old rich white dude. I would love to see Harriet Tubman or Elizabeth Cady Stanton or any other number of historically important females of any race, religion, or background. I would love an actually functional piece of currency with Sacajawea. But given the reasons stated above, it's not likely. I see a lot of currency where I work and they all have men on them. Albeit historically important ones. I'm not saying George Washington or Abraham Lincoln aren't important. What I am saying is that perhaps it is due time for something new and different.

How about an eagle with a different expression on his face for each denomination?

    $1: Meh
    $5: Sarcastically Impressed
    $10: A "Yeah, you're gettin' there" look

And so on up to the $100 bill, which is just a picture of him majestically flying away because they couldn't get him to still for that long.
