I just read Watchmen, the best graphic novel ever. This is what came from that inspiration:

COOOOOOOOOL. Nice job. You might want to change the words you have though. Kinda cheesy.

 

It makes a bit more sense once you've read it. His motto is "never compromise". He has lost such faith in humanity but longs to save it, even when compromising will save his life.
"And Ill whisper no" comes from the quote "The world will look up and scream "save us"... and ill whisper down "no"". Once again, coming from his hatred for what the world has become.

 

I looked at the mask and i was like "woah". Nice sig though.
