Network Sharing Problems

    My mom and I have Private Network Sharing enabled, but for some reason, my computer doesn't appear on her computer sometimes, and we're not sure why.

    I have XP, so it doesn't happen with me, but she's on 7, and when she had Vista, it did it, too.

    Any help?

    What do you mean by "it did it too"? you mean Yours didn't show up on her computer when it was Vista OS or it Did show up?

    No, when my mom was on Vista, it did it, too.

    Your computer has to be on for the stuff to show up on her computer. That's the mistake I find a lot of people make with sharing.

    Mine's always on when I'm here, and it's only off when I'm away or go to bed.
    My mom shuts hers down or puts it on sleep whenever she's done on it, but that shouldn't affect stuff from my computer showing up on hers when she turns hers back on.
