Negima!: Master Negi Magi Darogon Rekidishi

Well it didn't take me long to write this (around 2 1/2 hours) Anyway, this is a story that I wanted to do but out of fear of my lack of responsibility (and maybe ADHD [never been tested for it]), delayed writing it. I somewhat mapped out the events so I would actually write it and finished. Please enjoy.

“Asuna-san, I don’t think this is a good idea.” Negi Springfield muttered. The pair was standing in front of Ayaka Yukihiro’s dorm. Asuna had a smoke bomb in her hand. There was an evil grin slowly spreading across her face and an evil glint shining in her heterochromic eyes.

“Nonsense, Negi-bozu. She deserves this.” Asuna dropped to the floor to roll the bomb under the door. Suddenly the handle jiggled and turned. The door opened and revealed Ayaka herself standing in front of them. One her eyebrows twitched as she stared at Asuna. Then she saw Negi and her anger was replaced with pure infatuation bordering on obsession.

“Negi-sensei!” Her arms flew at light speed and wrapped around the 10 year old teacher. She pulled him toward her. “Can’t breathe.” The young magician muttered. Asuna grabbed the back of Negi’s collar and slung him back out of Ayaka’s grip.

“What was that for?!” The class president yelled.

“You being a perverted person! He is only 10! There is a 5 year difference!”

“You like Takahata-sensei and there is a generation gap between you!”

“Umm.” Negi tried to butt in but saw Asuna glare at him. “Never mind.” He took a few steps back and covered his eyes.

“Huh?” both the girls asked. Asuna looked down at her hand and she realized why her teacher had done that.

“What is that?” Ayaka asked.

“Here.” Asuna handed it to the class president.

“I don’t want it.” Ayaka handed it back. The two continued to hand the smoke bomb back and forth.

“You take it!”

“No you!”

“I don’t want that thing! It might be infected with stupid!”

Negi sighed and ran forward and grabbed the bomb. Both of his students ducked and covered there faces. Just as Negi threw the bomb, it exploded if his face. He flew in the air for a few feet and skidded when he hit the ground. When he opened his eyes all that the young teacher could see was a pair of panties. He heard a girl scream and the person standing over him ran away. “Nodako?” Negi asked in confusion. Asuna and Ayaka ran toward their teacher.


“Are you okay?” Ayaka asked.

“Don’t ask that. Why were you looking up Nodako’s skirt?”

“Negi-sensei was looking up Nodako’s skirt?” Fuka Narutaki asked, standing beside her twin. Both had appeared out of nowhere.

“She is lucky.” Fumika said and Ayaka nodded.

“What are you nodding for!?” Asuna yelled.

“I better go apologize.” The young Welsh magician said to no one in particular. Asuna and Ayaka were arguing again and the twins were betting on which one would win. He turned in the direction of Library Island. He guessed that Nodako went there. She usually went there after most of their mishaps. “Could this day get any worse?” He asked himself.

“Ojou-sama I don’t think we should do this.” Setsuna muttered. The two were walking along in the woods. Konoka had asked Setsuna to not to bring her sword, and being a request from Konoka, Setsuna had no choice but to oblige.

“Don’t be a worry wart. And I told you to call me by my name.” Konoka said. Her brown hair blew softly in the summer like breeze. Her warm smile, always present on her face, made Setsuna smile. She looked down the road. Suddenly, someone bumped into the duo. The girls could hear heavy breathing and what seemed like sobbing. “Nodako?” Konoka asked but the girl was out of earshot.

“What was that about?” Setsuna asked. Her best friend shrugged. The two girls of class 3A continued down the dirt path. While walking, Setsuna got the feeling that they were being watched. She felt uneasy without her sword.

“Nodako, what happened?” Yue asked. Haruna Saotome looked up from the book she was reading. “Did you and Negi-sensei kiss?” She asked calmly. Yue’s eyes widened at the possibility. Nodako shook her head. Yue sighed a little out of relief. “What happened then?” Nodako stood up straight and whispered something in Yue’s ear. Haruna tried to eavesdrop but by the time she was over to the two other Library Club members, they had finished talking. Yue smiled slyly and placed a hand on Nodako’s back. “Do you know how many girls in our class alone would have given anything for that to happen to them?”

“What happened?” Haruna pestered.

“Well…Negi-sensei saw my…” Nodako blushed a shade of red. “…panties.” She whispered this last word barely enough for Haruna to hear it.

“Really? This would be great for my next manga volume.”

“No.” Yue said.

“Why not? I am having writer’s block right now.”

“First off, you are a gossip and we shouldn’t have told you. Second, your manga is popular at this school. If one person reads it and knows where you got that from, Nodako will either be completely embarrassed or have girls flocking to her to ask if she saw Negi-sensei’s face and if he was happy with what he saw.” Yue replied without effort. When Nodako heard Yue’s response, her face turned an even darker shade of red.

“Fine.” Haruna said, huffing slightly.

“Nodako, Negi-sensei is probably looking for you,” Yue said, “He might come here to apologize to you for what happened.”

“Yeah.” Nodako nodded.

“So this is Mahora Academy?” a teenage boy asked. “Not as big as I guessed but bigger than most American schools.”

“Are you sure you can find your way around here Akirame?” Takahata asked.

“Give me a break Takahata-sensei.” Akirame Fusegu joked. Beside him was a little boy about Negi’s age.

“So that is…?”

“Yeah. Now where would nii-san be?”

“Right now I would guess that he would be in his dorm room. No wait, there he is now.”

“Nii-san!” Akirame ran toward Negi. The boy beside him ran along as well.

“Akirame-san.” Negi was overjoyed to see an old friend of his. “How have things been?”

“Same old. Killing some demons and what not. You?”

“Well… Nevermind me, how many pactios do you have?”

“Well. None.”

“I have around 15. Give or take.”

“All thanks to mffffff.” Chamo had appeared but Negi covered his mouth. The boy about his age was looking at the ermine.

“It’s alright. He knows about magic.”

“Good.” Negi breathed a sigh of relief.

“Yeah, now that all this is over with, I have something to tell you.”

“What?” The young teacher asked.

“As of now, I am your replacement.”

“Replacement? Replacement for what?”

“As the teacher of class 3A.”

You asked for a critique, so...

Hmm...not bad. Could use some touching up on the punctuation. (Paragraph break whenever switching to another person's dialogue)

Also when exactly did this take place? Haruna asked if Negi kissed Nodoka (not Nodako). Nodoka already kissed Negi twice, once during the Pactio during the Kyoto arc and the second time she got the courage to do it herself when Negi and Nodoka went on their date in the Mahora Festival arc.

Haruna is a manga artist, but she draws up yaoi more than anything else. I don't see her using the "panty shot" bit in her work.

Why would Asuna be messing with a smoke bomb in the first place? I don't see her instigating a fight with the Class Rep like that. Ayaka and Asuna are technically close friends, but they do the whole love/hate relationship. If they run into each other, this would be in character. But to literally bring a smoke bomb up to the front door in a hit-and-run bit doesn't seem to portray Asuna correctly.

The Setsuna/Konoka part looked to be in character. Good job on that.

And finally, the replacement teacher for Class 3-A? Hopefully there's a good explanation for that. Negi's only a teacher because that was the assignment that he was magically bound to after he graduated from his class. Not even the head magus of his school could change that. Unless Negi failed his training or if he has to temporarily deal with other matters outside of Mahora Academy, I don't see how this'll be in canon continuity overall.

Yeah I know I need to work on the punctuation alot (even starting at about 4:45 AM gives me no excuse)

Well as I see most stuff, there is a pole going in a certain direction. The pole is the main character and his/her interaction with the enviroment (including people). Now there are spiraling fibers spinning around the main pole. These fibers are other characters.

This concept can also be used for storylines. Like in your some rpgs, they are spiraling around the main pole but not exactly following it's course. I am going to use A Death Note RPG as an examle.
In one Death Note RPG, It is during the years at the orphanage when L was still alive. As it progresses it might start spinning around the main pole of the Death Note series.

My story is just after the Festival and Nodoka ( I was wondering why it sounded wrong when I typed it) is still kind of shy around Negi (if I show this emotion wrong sorry, I need to read the manga more)

I did not know that, thank you. But you never know what might happen.

It seemed to me now that the twins would do that more than her. I really need to get my facts straight before i continue writing (to the internet to read Negima!!)

Thank you on that. I was originally going to make Setsuna say Konoka-sama but then I remebered that she calls her Ojou-sama. And for some reason, unknown why, I just have a connection with Setsuna (well I am obsessed with sword fighting)

First off, I will go into more detail about why Akirame is a replacement for Negi in the next chapter (if anyone wants me to continue) but I can say that the head magus might approve but the replacement is only temporary. In the story Negi will be gone for a week. But when he comes back, things will change...good or bad, at the moment I can't tell. But it will involve time travel and hard training and more pervertedness out of the whole class. Especially Class Pres. So if that answers all of your questions Destiny's Force, I just have one question for you: Should I continue?

Well, Nodoka's personality has blossomed a bit more after the festival. She's still a bit quiet, but she's no longer nervous around Negi due to her confession during their date. Also, Yue, Chisame and Haruna have all done a Pactio around this time as well. Nodoka and Haruna know that Yue has feelings for Negi.

In other words, Nodoka is still quiet, but she's comfortable with talking to Negi face-to-face now. Haruna still teases both Yue and Nodoka because of the love triangle, though. :p

Well, Haruna and Chisame both like hanging out at cosplay and manga conventions. (Chisame even more ever since she got her artifact)

Yeah. But don't forget that Misora also happens to do this type of stuff as well (just not as often as the twins) Her character has expanded slightly since the Mahorafest arc. She has her own artifact, but not with Negi.

She's to Negima as Motoko was to Love Hina. They both come from the same school and use similar techniques. And don't forget about the whole "bird tribe" thing. She does look like an angel when she does that. :)

Well, I'd do some research first, but in a whole, I don't see why not. :D

Yeah but I don't think that she would go as far as the older twin would. Though I am surprised that the younger twin would agree with some of their deeds

Of course :) And yes I know that her mother was a Crow Demon. I am still in debate with myself if Setsuna should be albino. (Her wings are white but they could be that for some reasons. 1: due to her father being a human or 2: she is albino)

Thank you Destiny's Force for all of your help. It might take a few days for the next chapter to enter my brain ( I will have to read to manga number 100 before I even start about typing up thre next chapter). How can I read 100 chapters in a few days? Well first I wake up at around 4 each morning and don't have to go to school til around 7:15. Second, My first period is a computer class so I just can go to any site that lets me read manga for free and just read for about 40 minutes.

P.S. The last word in the thread's name is spelt wrong but when I noticed it I could only change what I had put at the begining of my first post. Darogon Rekaidishi in Japanese means "Dragon Chronicles" Why that name? No not for the dragon in the Library but for something else.


Update on research: As of right now I am on period 24 in the series. Only 76 more to go. And if I can read about 15 chapters a day, then only 6 more today. But I have til 10 pm (5 hours) so maybe I might get to chapter 40, thus averaging 20 chapters a day. And if I can, then it will only be a few more days til I can write again.

Revised Chapter 1: Unfortunate Incidents

Well I just got finished typing this one. Just to summarize: some new stuff happens and some old stuff doesn't happen. You will just have to read it to find out.

“Master, can we stop?†Negi Springfield asked. He was in Evangeline’s resort that altered time. The two had been training for 5 days at the resort. The female Shinso vampire stared at her student.

“Why? Are you tired? Geez at this rate, you will never catch your father.†Eva sighed and placed a hand on her forehead. She looked at her student. She smiled evilly. “Get stronger and you might just see your father again.†She noticed that Negi’s eyes had a small sparkle in them. Just like Nagi. Always finding some way to be inspired.

“Aniki! Watch out!†Chamo the ermine yelled.

“Huh?†Negi looked at his pet familiar then turned back to his training. But it was too late. The Shinso vampire had charged him and all the Welsh magician could do was barely block. “Reflexio!!†The shield spell was shattered on contact and the 10 year-old teacher was sent spiraling through the air.

“You are going to have to do better than that to even come close… Huh?†Evangeline stared at the dust that had arisen. She waited for the outline of her student. When the dust cleared, Negi wasn’t there. Suddenly, she heard a shuffle behind her. Her blonde hair twirled as the vampire spun around to face her opponent. What she saw was Negi charging at her with a magicked-up fist.

"Kenotētos Astrapsatō de Temetō! Dios Tukos!"

Being at close range made it impossible for Evangeline to dodge the lightning magic. She didn’t even have enough time to add to her magical barrier. The lightning ax tore threw it with relative ease. The Shinso vampire was blasted through the air. Negi took this opportunity to grab his master’s ankle and throw her to the ground.

“Veniant spīritūs āēriālēs fulgurientēs, *** fulgurātiōne flet tempestās austrīna. JOVIS TEMPESTĀS FULGURIĒNS."

When the combined power of wind and lightning, Evangeline had no chance of being able to block the technique. As a side effect of the spell, the wind tore the vampire’s clothes to shreds.

“Way to go Aniki!†the lingerie-stealing ermine exclaimed.

“But Master’s clothes…†Negi said, turning a dark shade of red. He quickly turned away from the nude vampire.

“I am going to kill you!!†Negi’s master exclaimed. She then felt a familiar hand on her shoulder.

“I have spare clothes Master.†Chachamaru had appeared and was holding a neatly folded pile of clothes.

“Hmph.†The naked vampire grasped the clothes and quickly changed. “Finish this fight for me.â€

“Yes, Master. Sorry Negi-sensei.†The robot charged at the distracted mage.

Negi saw his student flying him. He sighed. He turned his head at the last second so Chachamaru’s fist wouldn’t hit his chin. The robot’s fist grazed the young mage’s skin. But the speed of the attack was enough to send him flying.

“Is that the best you got? Even that dog-boy could beat you.†Evangeline looked at the setting sun. “Well that’s all for now. Meet me back here Thursday.â€

“Yes Master.†Negi said. He breathed out a sigh of relief. He grabbed his staff and turned to leave.

“He just might get strong yet.†Dark Evangel smirked as she saw the son of the Thousand Master walk away.

“Negi-bouzu, you finally are back?†Asuna Kagurazaka said when her teacher entered the room. She had just gotten back from her morning job.

“With Setsuna-chan.†Baka Red replied. She noticed that Negi had more bruises than ever. She also noticed that he was bleeding from a corner of his mouth and that his clothes had quite a few holes in them “How tough is your training?â€

“I am getting better. Though I did tear Eva-Master’s clothes to shreds.â€

“You did WHAT?!†Asuna grabbed the Welsh magician’s collar. “Why?â€

“It was an accident Ane-san.†Chamo protested climbing onto Asuna’s shoulder.

“Right.†The heterochromic girl replied and dropped Negi. She climbed up to her bed and pulled up her covers.

“I am going for a walk, Asuna-san.†Negi said.

“Do whatever you want.†The girl responded.

This is just great. I spend about 5 minutes trying to get it where when someone talks, it is indented, but i just went to preview my work and nothing changed.

 

*sigh*

Okay. Here's the thing. Evangeline's more powerful than that. Negi's "Lightning Axe" might be powerful, but it was Eva who taught him how to do it. In other words, she's not going to be easily taken down using that technique. Plus, all their training sessions are NEVER one-on-one. Usually Chachamaru, Chachazero and Evangeline triple-team Negi. Of course, since this happens after the festival, Negi can last a full minute now, but it's still not enough if he stops moving. Thirdly, the only spell that would shred any clothing would be "Flans Exarmatio." And finally, Evangeline is a 500 year-old vampire trapped in a 10 year-old's body. She wouldn't get embarrassed or angry if Negi happened to strip her. After all, she's not exactly modest, especially in her adult form. She's pretty seductive.

Um...oh yeah. There's a healing circle within the resort where it can heal any person who stands in it. Unfortunately, it'll only heal external injuries. Negi would still be tired after the training.

Next, Asuna wouldn't go back to sleep after her morning paper route. She'd be out doing something else...I can't exactly come up with anything at the moment, though.

My next chapter: Finally up.

Sorry this one took so long. I am sorry if you were angry at me for not posting it up sooner than 13 days but I had some problems and school stuff. Plus I also was playing my PS2. But now that I have around a week left of school, I just might post more up. So here it is. This one is following the later of the two chapters. I think this is one of my worst things ever (not as bad a rapping sloth) but none the less here it is.

“WHAT?! Re-replacement? What did I do wrong?†Negi gaped at Akirame. He tried to figure out what he messed up. “Maybe it was me beating up one of my students.†He said to himself.

Akirame just continued to smile. He stared down at the boy standing next to him. “Should we tell him?â€

“No.†the young boy replied. The boy just continued to stare at Negi. “Was he this stupid back then?â€

“Yep.â€

“Who is that?†Negi asked. “He seems familiar somehow.â€

“If you can’t remember then I am going to have to beat you senseless, twice.â€
“Huh?â€

“I think his Baka Rangers are smarter than him.†Akirame said casually. He waved a hand lazily around. “Think about it.â€

Negi stared at the two boys for a minute. They could be brothers. But why would he say that he would beat me senseless twice… Unless… That has to be it! “That is a younger you.â€

“Took you long enough. Now about me being your replacement. It is only temporary. Just a week, kinda.â€

“What do you mean kinda?†Chamo asked.

“Younger me is going to take Negi back in time to train to get stronger.â€

Negi stared at the two Akirames. “And the purpose for this is?â€

“Do you want to beat Fate or not?†Akirame asked casually.

Negi had a flashback of losing to the white-haired boy that called himself Fate Averruncus. He remembered how easily Fate had beaten him. Negi clenched a fist in frustration. “Of course I do but…†he mumbled.

“What? Are you worried about your students? Or are you worried that you won’t get stronger?†the 15 year old substitute teacher asked.

“Well my students would get upset that I was gone. And also the principle of the magic school probably wouldn’t allow this to happen.â€

“You idiot. Teachers are allowed a week of sick days and a week vacation. Just say this is your vacationâ€

“But still...†Negi started to protest.

“But nothing. Now that I have to be your substitute, it is best to show me all your students.†Akirame said.

“Follow me.†The welsh magician said. “This could take a while.†He mumbled.​

Asuna looked at the clock. “2 pm huh? Well I best get up now but I really don’t want to.†She slowly got out of the top bed and started to get undressed. “I just can’t believe two other people missed work and I chose to cover for them. Me and my big mouth.â€

“That is Konoka Konoe and Setsuna Sakurazaki.†Negi said pointing to the two girls walking down the lane.

“Umm why don’t we just go and say hi to them?†Akirame asked bluntly.

“Well, uh… We don’t want to intrude on them.†Negi explained.

“But isn’t this ruder than intruding? We are basically spying on them.†Akirame asked, enjoying Negi scrambling around his brain for an answer.

“Yeah… Well... That doesn’t matter. We are here now.†Negi answered after a couple of seconds.

“Whatever. So is Konoka-sama the one with the straight black hair?†Akirame asked looking at her.

“Yeah. Why did you call her Konoka-sama? Do you know her from somewhere?†the child teacher asked his old friend.

“Nope, I call almost everyone –sama because I have learned that everyone has something to teach you.â€

Negi stared at his old friend for a minute. Wow. Last time I saw Akirame, he was so miserable. But that was 3 years ago when… Nevermind. He seems to have gotten over the incident very well.

“So is there anyone else or is this your entire class?â€

“We have 27 more people to see. That and one ghost.†Negi mumbled the last sentence.​

After about 2 hours, Negi and Akirame had talked to most of the class. Negi stared down at his roster. He had checked off everyone they had seen. All that was left was Asuna and Ayaka. Negi rubbed his forehead. He had started to feel woozy. Akirame checked on a device in his pocket.

“Well I see you in a week.†Akirame said.

“What?! I have to go now? But you haven’t seen the entire class yet.†Negi panicked.

“Nevermind that. I can’t bend time whenever I want to.†Akirame replied mockingly. Suddenly a portal appeared behind him. Younger Akirame walked up to him. “Where have you been? Wait don’t answer that. I remember where you were.†Both Akirames grabbed Negi’s arms.

“Wait let me go! Stop!†Negi cried desperately.

“Stow it. You are just wasting valuable energy. You are going.†Akirame said, finally shoving the Welsh boy into the portal. “You remember what to do?†he asked his younger self. “Don’t forget to jump places every week.â€

“Whatever.†Younger Akirame said, stepping into the portal. The portal closed behind him.

“Finally he is gone.†The current substitute of class 3-A said. “Now down to business.​

3 hours later​

Setsuna was walking down a darkened hallway. “I am glad that Ojou-sama is happy but at least she should have let me keep my sword.†She suddenly felt uneasy for some unknown reason. She walked to her faster than she usually would. When she got there, she wrenched open the door. The room was dark and a window was open. She slowly turned on the light. No one was there. She sighed. “I can’t believe that I got so worked up about nothing. Huh. That’s weird. I could have sworn that I left my sword right here.†She looked on her bed. On it, there was a note. Thanks for the help. “What help?†the sword fighter clenched her fist. “The person who left this took my sword.†Suddenly there was a knock on the door. She walked over to the door and looked out the peep hole.

“Delivery.†The man at the door said. When Setsuna opened the door, the man handed Setsuna her sword. “I found this outside the window. It must have fallen out the window.â€

“Thanks for finding it.†Setsuna said. She bowed her head in respect. “I don’t even know your name.†What am I doing? I hate chatting and I don’ten know this guy.

The guy turned and started to walk off. “Maybe I will see you around Setsuna-sama.â€

“Yeah… Wait. How do you know my name?†Setsuna asked. She looked down the hall. The guy had disappeared. “Weird.†Setsuna shrugged her shoulders. She walked over to her bed and picked up the note. She flipped it over and noticed more writing. P.S. Here is your sword back... “What the…?​
