Well I want to get the crowns and only have Bronze (Beating the XIII data fights) the Knight will have to wait...But on the Mushroom ones I have trouble.....

I fight Mushroom VIII but yet keep losing somehow even by following the "Best Method" guide.....

For eight I can never get over 60 with Valor/Brave, Wisdom, Master, Limit, Final, or Normal no matter what abilities I have on or what weapon.....

I need some help because that is the only one I can not beat.....

For VI, I used Final Form and used Thundaga to take out the 4th set (with the initial VI as the first set), the 10th set, and part of the last set. You need to Thundaga part of the last set because this particular section takes the longest to do and you have *no time* to run around the entire room. Pick a side to take out with your Keyblades, then Thundaga the other half of the room when you're in range. And *don't* forget about the VI Mushroom above you near the door.

My finishing time for VI was 44.27 seconds. Very very close.

VIII requires a dilligent spamming of the square button, and a little bit of luck. You *need* Berserk Charge to do this, and if you picked the Sword at the beginning of the game, Sora will learn this at lvl 65. Press Triangle to throw the VIII up, hit it ONCE with Circle, then spam away with Retaliating Slash (with Square). Around 15 hits, the VIII mushroom will fly a little high, time its descent with *one* Circle hit, then resume the Square spam. It will do this one-to-two more times, and afterward, spam Square for all your worth and don't ever slow down. The faster you press it, the more consistent Sora's Retaliating Slash will be and the VIII wil have less of a chance of being blown away from your assault.

My finishing record for VIII was 87. Very very close. XD

I haven't tried No. I yet, but I will soon.

    Well for VIII

How do you use the "Retaliating Slash" if that is only usable by being hit? do you means the one that attacks from left to right? If so I shall try...My highest record is like 63 or 67.....Worst I got was 5 for normal, 8 for Valor/Brave, 15 for Wisdom, 24 for Master, and like 52 for Final...

Now that VIII is the only one left to beat...It makes me want to win more

Yeah, sorry. It's called Horizontal Slash, or something of the like. The zig-zag thing.

Well I tried and the highest I can get is 80...

    Other scores have been: 63, 72, 78, 67, 49, 56, and 74...

When I try to do the square thing again and again with timing the thing starts to instead of jumping up jumps away from me to the point it is to far and I can't hit it again...I just want to beat this annoying thing but something messes it up at the last few seconds

The thing about the Berserk Charge is that you're on a time limit. The moment you recover your MP, your combo will be over.

There is one way around this, but it takes a lot of skill and timing, but rest assured if you can get this, you'll definitely get your 85 hits.

Equip Donald's Duck Flare (Flare Force in FM+) and equip its Auto Limit. Now continue your strategy as usual, but right when your MP recovers, unleash Donald's Duck Flare Limit. If done correctly, the initial attack from Donald will knock the Mushroom back into the air. You may fail sometimes simply because the Mushroom is too far, but other times you *will* succeed. Now the complicated part of this is that you need to balance hitting Triangle to activate the missiles, and your own jumping and slashing (not to mention you have to hit circle first, then spam the square). Doing this all at once can be really hard. But all you really need is that ONE hit from the missiles to knock the mushroom into the air, so you can land on the ground and get your bearings back.

After the mushroom is knocked into the air again, maneuver yourself to start the circle <> square spam strategy again; and hopefully you won't have to do it for a long time after that.

So MP timing to? I always do the Berserk Charge but I try to work as long as I can but when it gets away the magic isn't finished so I guess I need to wait for it

Yeah, make note of how much MP you have left to charge when the mushroom gets blown away, so the next time you do Berserk Charge, wait a little before throwing the VIII into the air.

Well I finally won...I got 99 a second ago so I finally beat it by using the Fantasia spell Donald has since it works faster and gave me a quick second to catch up.....at 99 it wouldn't let me hit it again though everything bounced off it like it had a barrier but I finally won at least.....Time for the showdown
