Video Need help with Sony Vegas.

    Ok I downloaded .AVI files from KH RE:Com English version. I want to know why this keeps happening[​IMG]And this[​IMG] I don't know whats wrong. The codec was automaticaly set as "Sonic Cinemaster® VideoDecoder 4.3" Here is what Windows Media Player shows.[​IMG] Help me. If you give me an answer I will give you a download link and a load of Rep. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

    Its probably the fact those were the game rips.
    They are missing info in its header (ps2 doesn't need that info, but the computer does) and the person went ahead and converted it to avi without filling in that info.

    Screws up the file if header info is off.

    But how come when I wanted one of the cutscenes on my iPod it converted?

    Ok... I'm not sure exactly what your trying to do but if your trying to get avi files to work this is what I do...

    First, download this xVid codec thing off of here (this is recommended because it has a special program that will fix your issue ^_^)
    http://www.xvid.org/Downloads.15.0.html Then install it.

    Next, once it is installed go to your start menu programs and look for Xvid. Then click Nic's FourCC changer. When it opens browse for the clip that isn't working in your Vegas. Change the description code(top) to XVID and the used code(bottom) to DIVX

    Yep! That made WMP not load the video.

    Vegas won't either. I tryed that again and I won't load the vid.

    Download the free SUPER converter, convert a clip to .WMV, and see if it works.

    It'll reduce quality, but your options are looking limited at this point.

    I downloaded the codec pack and thats the best so I will not use super anymore. Thanks to all that replyed. Check your PMs for the link.
