I baught Vegas 7 a few weeks ago, before that... well a year ago I used to use Windows Movie Maker, and I want to get back into making AMVs. So far, Vegas has been great, but I've been too busy to use it to its fullest ability. Still a great program and I'm glad I got it.

Same here. I just bought it too. About 4 days ago. I've been busy with the software. Very, very nice software. You could be UNSTOPPABLE with both Vegas & Premiere! Sadly, I just have Vegas, and I can't make streaming files correctly. Probably 'cause I'm too lame or something.

Question: Why is the box blue but the program isn't? Well. Maybe it is blue...not...my eyes! They deceive me! Arghh!!!

    Can't upload

You can't upload any movies to youtube or photobucket because of the wrong file format .

    example

video1.vf (Vf is the wrong format and its the only one available with vegas)

Vegas is brilliant but the trial is only 30 days... well it was when I had it T_T Thanks anyway! ^^ I think it may be harmful if I use it again. It truely is brilliant! Best MM program ever I think.

I've got the full Vegas over here on my end, and let me tell you...it is MUCH better than Movie Maker. Probably do to the fact that my computer isn't built for making videos, but it still kicks butt.

This was probably explained somewhere in the list, but how do you make video clips transparent?

    To make one clip transparent:

Click the top of the clip you want to make transparent and hold it, then drag your mouse downward; you should see a line indicating how transparent it is.

To make an entire track transparent:

Click the bar marked "level" corresponding to the track you want to make transparent (should be on the lefthand panel that displays the track titles), then drag it to your disired level.

If you need screenshots, I can get them for you; I'm no good at explaining...

I don't think the Sony Vegas trial is available anymore. However, you can always download the Vegas Pro 8 trial.

    Enjoy!
