Implemented Navigation Bar Requires Clicking

Could the navigation bar be made like before where you had to click one of the things to get the menus to open? Whenever I log in or try to go to my profile because of a VM or something, my cursor goes over it and the menus come up, which is a little annoying.

 

I prefer the hovering, to be honest. If this turns out to be something a lot of people are annoyed by, then I think we should have a poll to see if people like the hovering. Regardless, though, I would love a little aesthetic change: an arrow pointing down or something for the three buttons (Media, Community, Misc.) that have menus.

 

That's a rather simple change and I'd be happy to add it. =]

As for the hovering/clicking, I prefer hovering as well. I find that clicking makes me waste more time on getting where I need to go.

 

How about re-adding a link to our subscriptions?

 

What skin are you using?

On the 5.0 skin the nav bar is above everything but the banner so you shouldn't need to drift over it for anything. (Except for browser functions, but you were refferencing notifications). Older skins have the user functions above (no idea what the actual name is for that box with usercp, notifications, etc.) but they use the click dropping on the nav bar.

Also assuming said page with subscriptions is the usercp, that was never taken down. If you mean the full list, that was never accessable aside from the usercp. Am I blanking on another one?

 

You can access your Subscriptions via the Quick Links dropdown on the legacy styles. I'm happy to add the link to the new navbar though, I just might not have thought of it because I don't use subscriptions, haha.
