"Excellent. But first..." Xemit spread out the pictures on the same table in front of Brad "Can you tell me which on of these people is in fact a beast?" He had made a point of finding images of people in odd scenarios so the man running across a pipe wouldn't stand out, and then he also altered thier eye color. The change was subtle but since the person in each of those pictures was now nobody at all it eliminated the risk of thier being others and making it a trick question unintentionally.

 

"the man on the pipe is a oddly colored fox, they can take on the form of a human but if they are wounded they lose their form and they seem to bleed more when hit in the human form, making it easier to track" he opened the bag, pulling a teal fur that was cold to the touch, a white fur that's colors blended to the table when he set it down, and a black fur with glowing red accents "these are what i have brought for you, i make my hunting gear from different animal pelts, and i had a few extra you might want to examine"

 

Leon walked the streets getting closer to the research facility. Knowing it was underground it was an wise choice if something did return that was suppose to be extinced it would cause an stir in the public. Walking to the lock on the door and simply typed in the password.

Sesi been falowing the scientist keeping himself silent as his ice blue eyes starred at the man. The arctic fox was not fond of violence instead he liked to watch things happen not create them.

The scientiest oppend the door and walked into the room. Giving Xemit an friendly wave but the smile disappeard when he saw the hunter there.

 

Xaid saw the scientist and another white wolf, he followed the 2 quietly.

 

Xemit turned in his chair as Leon entered. Accounting the discomfort as there being someone unfamiliar in the lab he introduced them "Hello Leon, this is Brad. He's a hunter that responded to an ad I sent out. As I hoped he has the ability to see animals that disguise themselves as people. Sorry for not giving you warning. I dindn't know he was going to be here until very recently"

 

"hello there leon, glad i could be of service, i always thought it was weird i could see them, and most people thought i was shooting innocent people, but i have worked with this skill my whole life and can now command it at will" he said as he picked up the camouflage pelt, he held it over himself and he disappeared "one of my favorite, you can be rendered a mimic of your environment with this, the other one protects from harsh chills and the other is a strange fur that reacts to the wearers emotions, probably to strike fear in prey"

 

"Very interesting" Xemit said as he examined a pelt. "Are these rare or do most pelts you come across have some ability associated with it?"

 

"most have some innate abilities, even something as simple as growing more fur to keep warm, i keep at least one of every type of pelt ive acquired, i have found also if someone is wearing the pelt, like the hunting trenchcoat ive made from the cold climate fur, even if it isnt on the original owner of the fur, like the animal, it still works, it seems to sense what or who is around it"

 

Leon just looked at the pelts boredly ."all dead we could never know how the animals actions or charastics was" the young scientist said looked at the two.

 

Xaid listend on the humans through the black door pressing his ear on the cold metal.

 

After an few seconds of seeing the scientist enter the arcic fox sniffed the air smelling the wolfs scent. Letting out an sigh "what do you want" Sesi said calmly to the wolf. With in a few seconds later there was tons of scents coming from the building "cant change the past" Sesi said to himself and the wolf. Normally an animal would freak out by being scared or having extreme anger but not the arctic fox he simply stayed calm and act like it was not nothing sad or new.

 

"well i could bring back some live animals" he said as he drew his gun from his holster "this is what i use, a modded scoped 44. magnum. if you have something you would prefer me using just tell me because i carry a few tranquilizer darts with me for live hunting" he said as he put the chameleon like pelt down

 

"i know that,but there are things to make up for the past but that is not why im here...im just curious of what the humans are doing.." he whispered back to the artic wolf.

 

"Relax Leon. I would prefer a live specimen just as much as you would, but this is at least a start." After examining the gun Brad had Xemit nodded. "It looks like a pretty good choice to me, though if you want any further modifications to it we may be able to accommodate that. The way I see it the main problem we have before us now is how do we collect a sample without making it seem like we're attacking innocents. Per haps the camouflage pelt?"

 

"i know of a girl who has an affinity to a wolf, maybe with a little...... persuasion.... she might agree to letting us borrow him... and if all else fails, ill kill her to draw out the wolf that follows her" he smiled grimly "and for my gun. i have modded it to hold tranquilizers and normal bullets, i think it is set unless you have been able to perfect a silencer or a muzzle to reduce recoil that would fit a custom model like this would be greatly appreciated"

 

Leon simply yawned he was interested but his appearance showed other wise. "yeah whatever i just want to look at something that actually moves not lays around like nothing" the young scientist said. Xemit would probally agree to Leon any solution would be agreeable as long it met the desired result in the end.

 

"they better not try and hurt her." Xaid growled at the door.

 

"By the way, you had a blood sample didn't you Leon? We should place that in the examination hub so we can record data on it. If the pelts have abilities like these I would imagine that the blood has something.

 

Xaid listend.' if they learn to much about us they might find out weakness...what can i do...wait..' he thought and got an idea, he backed up and tackled the door not knoking it down but makeing a big nose and running away'hopefully they'll chanse me and forget about the blood sample..' he thought.

 

Leon was in his pocket getting out the sample then he heard something tackle the door. Scratching his head "ok... that was odd should we check it" the young scientist said to Xambit. After all the man infront of him had more athority.

Sesi just shook his head "if something is suppose to happen just let it" the arctic fox said to the wolf as he walked away. He wanted to walk around and whatch the events unfold why could not people get it if its meant to happen it will do that.
