It's sad that Domi only goth 5th at Evo and was the only top 8 Akihiko.

Not that anyone but brkrdave seemed to even challenge Yume.

 

Still, an Akihiko made it to top 8. That's impressive considering his drawbacks. I would say so did a Yukiko, but really Stunedge made it to top 8, not Yukiko.

I'm so sad that BananaKen wasn't in grands instead of LordKnigga. When Ken dropped that last combo... Donnie and I went dead quiet. Jesuchristo. But it just goes to show how close the matches were, 1st place could've been almost any of the top 8.

 

Basically someone who was not LK had to make it to Yume to have a chance at beating him and everyone else just missed it at critical points. LK lost so stupendously there that it shocked me how even he was with Ken and how that one dropped combo made all that difference.

In other news Daigo, Infiltration, Justin Wong and the Chinese players all got put in losers yesterday. What even.

 

Agreed. I think it's just that Yume had the Mitsuru matchup down to a science from game one. Easier to download somebody when you're an adorable robot waifu.
