Naruto: Silver Bell of the Hidden Sound

Kai awoke from his horrid nightmare to see he was on the ground and that the enemy was moving away. My objective is to find the girl. I will deal with them later. He turned to see both of his comrades frozen stiff. They were under Genjutsu. "Kuso, they have been shrouded into the darkness." He ran to Sena, only caring for her safety instead of Nabarashi. "Sena, wake up. Come back to the light!" He analysed the curse they were in. It was familiar to him. A genjutsu using mist. "Blind! come on, see the light."

 

~~~Hidden Sound Village: Orochimaru's Ruined Hideout~~~

As soon as they were underground among the twisting passages, the girl stopped, setting Yasuzu down and examining her wound. The burns from the dense chakra around the wound were bad but the hole in her was worse. I'm not a medical ninja...this is bad... Her short black hair fell around her face as she thought. Her clothes didn't cover the marks on her back...the coded markings for handsigns and a formula. The forbidden jutsu. "Stay here...all of you. I must go further and find my salve. It'll help heal your friend." With that she took off running down the passage.

Yasuzu coughed blood and started to laugh, "A Jinchuriki...with the enemy... The Two Tails...belongs to the Hidden Cloud Village....to us, Ako. They called him...Nabarashi... That's the name of the child taken from the Hidden Cloud all those years ago." Yasuzu was bound by ANBU law that if she was going to die she'd have to erase all trace of her body here. Gritting her teeth, she laughed a short, sharp sound and lifted her hands, weaving several signs faster than the eye could follow. "Dying here isn't on my list of things to do. This...isn't something I'd like to show off... Body Activation Jutsu!" Just like that, Yasuzu's jutsu began to take effect, repairing the damaged muscle, tissue, veins and organs until all that was left were the chakra burns surrounding a completely healed circle on her stomach. The small diamond shaped mark on her chest disappeared along with the wound and Yasuzu passed out.

~~~Hidden Sound Village~~~

Nabarashi grew impatient. His chakra kept growing until it flew off the charts and the genjutsu dispirsed for him. Sweat ran down his face and he panted, falling to his knees. Even so, he grabbed Sena's ankle, sending massive amounts of his own chakra into her, dispelling the genjutsu. Sena blinked, finding Kai shrieking at her. She flicked her fingers and a butterfly fluttered off. "Could you possibly stop that stupid ranting? Ah, Nabarashi!" She bent down and helped him stand, despite the fact that he was taller than her. "This is nothing....I just used too much chakra. Someone put us under a genjutsu...someone pretty strong for a simple release not to work." Nodding, Sena grabbed Kai's shirt collar, "Let's report back to Ritski. He'll want to know what we found today."

~~~Konohagakure: Hidden Leaf Village~~~

It wasn't long before Gaara moved past the front gates of the village. He headed straight for the Hokage's office.

Naruto, Kakashi and Hinata headed back to his office for him to gather what he needed before they left. Kakashi already had on a pack and so did Hinata. "Naruto...this mission is very important. You read the documents didn't you?" Naruto nodded, "Yup! It's pretty far away...the Hidden Sound Village...or what's left of it. I can't believe this girl...the one carrying the forbidden jutsu would want to hide out there...I wonder why?" Kakashi smiled, impressed with Naruto's ability to be serious once in a while. They pushed open the door to the Hokage's office and waited for him to start packing when the door opened behind them. "Naruto Uzumaki..." Naruto turned along with Kakashi and grinned at the sight of Gaara in his normal clothes, "Gaara! Hey, long time no see. Oh...uh, what brings you here...and without any bodyguards?" Gaara's face remained impassive, though his eyes had lost that muderous gleam and even that always frustrated glow. "I'm here about the forbidden jutsu. Naruto Uzumaki...as Kazekage of the Hidden Sand and an ally of the Hidden Leaf, if you go after the forbidden jutsu, I'll have no choice but to go as well." Naruto frowned and scrunched up his face in irritation, "Are you saying I can't go?" Gaara's face cracked out of it's impassiveness and he smiled, "No. I'm saying that if you go, we go together." Naruto nodded along with his words before his jaw dropped nearly to the ground. "WHAAAAaAAAAAT?! You...you...you...you..." "Why would the Kazekage want to go with us personally?" Turning his attention from the still stuttering Naruto to Kakashi, Gaara pulled out a sheet of paper and handed it to him. "The Hidden Sound Village is made up of rouge ninja. It's not surprising to find her listed in the bingo book the Sand has."

 

Sena had revived out of her Genjutsu, grabbing Kai's collar telling him they needed to report to Ritski. "I am afraid you will have to go one your own back to him. Nabarashi and I still have business here finding a girl with forbidden jutsu. I suspect she was close by during our fight. If either of you can read chakra, I think the person who performed that genjutsu is the culprate that we are in search for." He released her grip from his collar and grabbed her hand. "So delicate like the light touching a blossom." He turned away and looked at Nabarashi. "We need to find her. Leave with Sena if you wish but I am loyal with my missions."

Secret Hideout

Tsukiko had heard rumors from the prisoners Kai brought that were being beat that The itchibi and kyubi were both headed to the Hidden Sound Village. She went into the main hall. "Ritski! I am heading to go and claim two Jimchurikis for us. Don't try to stop me."

 

~~~Secret Hideout~~~

Ritski scowled down at the person he'd just finished interrogating. "Heh...Tsukiko...there is no need. Be patient. In time the Jinchuriki's will all come to us. Go after them and you'll get yourself killed." He turned sharply and warped in front of her, grabbing hold of her shoulders, "I need you alive. Along with the others. Kalasu, bring them back." A man wearing a hood nodded silently from the darkest corner of the hideout area.

~~Hidden Sound Village~~

Sena gritted her teeth and Nabarashi paused in his step. All three of them would hear Kalasu ordering them back. "Looks like the fun's over." "Kalasu's orders come from Ritski himself. Let's go, Nabarashi, Kai. Don't worry about the girl. My butterfly will track her chakra. We'd never find her if she realized we were tracking her. You know that as well as I do. The only way this girl has hidden so long is that she possesses exeptional justu. Now keep your head on straight before I cut it off."

Ritski waited for the others after Kalasu issued the return order. None of them had seen Kalasu as the man loved to hide. It was why Ritski trusted him enough to listen to what the prisoners had to say. "Kurama...the Nine-Tails and it's Jinchuriki Naruto Uzumaki...the Sixth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf. It's unfortunate such a young boy was chosen to be the Jinchuriki. I wonder..." He pulled back his hood, releasing Tsukiko and let his Mangekyo Sharingan roam over her, "There is only one Uchiha left in the world...and he remains a prisoner of the Hidden Leaf. Kalasu...would you mind?" Kalasu made the handsign for Shadow Clone jutsu, but instead, appearing before them were imitation of Hinata, Kakashi, Gaara and a masked ANBU woman. "Hm...so they travel in a squad of five...for the simple mission of finding this girl." He thought for a moment, relaxing his visual jutsu, "If we let them find the girl...she'll be easier to find in the long run. Remaining in the Leaf Village...trapped like a rat. It will make things easier. Kalasu! Go, I'm sure Sena has dispatched some of her butterflies to track the girl. Lead the Leaf shinobi to the girl."

 

Secret Hideout

"You are one crazy man, I like that a lot. But, I will wait. Just make sure you hold me still when Kai comes around. I still want to chop his head off." She walked over to the dead corpses laying on the ground. "I guess it is time to try a new form of jutsu I have been working on. Reverse Gravity." She drew a seal out of the shadows from their bodies and lifted them into the air, throwing them outside into the nearby river. "There, a good place to sit."

Hidden Sound Village

Kai did a 180 a turned the other direction. "Well, looks like the boss wants us back. I am going on ahead. You know me, like to get things done as quick as lightning." Kai jumped into the nearby trees and began to speed off to the Hideout. This isn't like Ritski to call us back after a mission already in effect. Especially using Kalasu to get us back asap means something is up. I need answers. "I think, I will stop by the Hidden Leaf Village. I hear they have great Ramen. It will be a good way to think things over."

Kai changed out of his organisation cloak and arrived at the enterance to the Hidden Leaf Village."This place is a lot more peaceful then I thought. Now, where to get those noodles."

 

Hidden Sound Village

Ako did his best to stay calm as he watched the stranger leave Yasuzu's side. It didn't help that she became unconscious only a few seconds later. He grabbed for her wrist, closing his eyes, feeling for her pulse as well as timing it. He wasn't a medical ninja, but he believed that her heart rhythm was stable. He sat her up against the wall, keeping cautious if any intruders.

 

~~~Orochimaru's Ruined Base~~~

The girl came back with armfuls of salves and herbs to heal Yasuzu. She dropped it all and sat down when she saw Yasuzu's wounds had closed and were healing nicely already. "She's not...a Jinchuriki...so how...?" Her red eyes widened considerably, "You let her use that jutsu!? It's a bad jutsu to use carelessly!" she scolded Ako. Setting her hands on Yasuzu's head, she closed her eyes and moved her hands downwards, along the Clound ninja's body, stopping over her chest. Sighing, the girl smiled at Ako, "I'm Rei. You two...are shinobi from the Hidden Cloud Village...aren't you? You're going to...take me back to your village...and demand the forbidden jutsu I have...aren't you?" Rei's hands glowed blue with chakra. "Your friend here...did something risky. Releasing a Yin Seal Mark like that...to prevent herself from dying. She's strong...to have that much chakra..."

~~~Hidden Sound Village~~

Sena waved off Kai, "It's not like I can say anything to stop you...baka..." Nabarashi watched him leave, "The...Hidden Leaf Village...their Jinchuriki is the Hokage...isn't he?" Sena half closed her eyes and tossed her long, white hair over her shoulder, "Eh...how should I know? I don't pay attention to that stuff. My job is to retreive the forbidden jutsu." Nabarashi touched his chest quietly, "He's a Jinchuriki...just like me...I just know it."

~~~Hidden Base~~~

Ritski chuckled at Tsukiko's expense and continued to pick up the weapons and things that had fallen out of the shinobi's clothes when he was interrogating them. "Hm?" He bent and picked up a small scroll. Reading through it, his face turned intense and serious, even bordering on rage. "WHAT IS THIS!? A report to the Grass Village that the Akatsuki haven't all been delt with!!! Those....STUPID...NINJA!!!!!" With his anger, came and explosion around him. His Mangekyo Sharingan activating and even his Susano'o's skeleton appearing around him with intense red chakra. The Totska blade weilded by Susano'o gouged a large gash in the walls around him before he settled down. Holding his head, Ritski began to laugh again, harder, until it turned into a madman's laugh.

 

Ako didn't understand why he was being yelled out over something he couldn't control. He was just happy that Yasuzu was going to be okay. The girl's gentle deminor was making him feel guilty about their mission. "It would seem that is our mission," Ako told Rei. "But, you helped me and my friend, and that has to count for something. If you come with us willingly, I promise that we will protect you and no harm will come to you while you are in our village." Ako was a bit unsure if he had the power to keep his word like that, but he would try as hard as he could. "I'm Ako, by the way, and her's is Yasuzu."

 

Tsukiko stared at Ritski who had his little episode. "What in the world is up with you you freak. Explain to me what is going on. I also sense Kai is not heading back to the base. I think he may be betraying you sir." She did not like Kai at all and would do anything to have him killed or even better yet, hunted.

Hidden Leaf Village

"Hmm. Where can I find some noodles. I am sure Ritski won't mind me taking a small break." Kai looked around the shops for this ramen he heard so much about. Duting his search, he witnessed the Hokage and Kazekage together at the same time. What are those two doing here. Are the planning on getting that Jutsu together? I need to stay on guard while I am here. I just hope they don't see me. He finally came around a corner to find this so called famous Ramen shop. "Hey, serve me the best ramen you can Trying to relax and indulge myself for a bit."

 

Hidden Sound Village

Ichiro just stood there silently as he watch Yasuzu heal herself with some jutsu. Eventhough he was shocked by what he saw, he chose to remain silent until Rei returned. "I'm Ichrio Suzuki from the HIdden Waterfall Village." He said once Ako had finished introducing himself. While she was right about finding her, that much he'd done, but the rest of his mission was possibly different than the others.

Hidden Leaf Village

I got it! Kaito thought as he aimed his hand towards the middle log again and shot his spear at it again. This time once it made contact with the log, he sent a burst of charkra inside the jutsu and watched as the log was soon impaled by multiple spears from the same attack. "It's a good start, but I may be able to do better." Shutting off his jutsu, he turned away from the three logs and headed towards the village.

 

~~~Hidden Sound Village: Orochimaru's Ruined Hideout~~~

Rei smiled at Ichiro, "I suppose...you want to take me to the Hidden Waterfall Village too then... I'm only one person though." Her smile widened even as sweat formed on her face as she gave more of her chakra to Yasuzu. "Besides...I can't leave here... Orochimaru-sama instructed me to..." she stopped midsentence and her face fell, "Orochimaru...sama...is dead. I keep forgetting and think he'll come back someday soon, ya know?"

Yasuzu opened her eyes once and reached for her sword at her side. Her hand fell limply on the hilt, "Waterfall shinobi...you won't...take the girl. She belongs to...the Hidden Cloud now."

~~~Hidden Base~~~

Ritski stopped his laughing and turned to Tsukiko, immediately trapping her in his Tsukoyomi genjustu. "Now...I could've sworn I heard you call me something...what was it again?" He stood before her in a black, white and red world with her chained to a rock securely. "Kai...knows very well what would happen to him if he betrayed us. You're young so you're ignorant. The Jinchuriki's...the Tailed Beasts....they mean nothing compared to the jutsu I'm trying to obtain. You...my dear Tsukiko...couldn't possibly know anything about anything." He reached out and took a lock of her hair between his fingers. "Now...stop wasting my time!" A sword appeared in his hand and he speared it into Tsukiko's body. In about five seconds of real time, he'd done the same thing over and over again four hundred times to Tsukiko in his Tsukoyomi genjustu world before he released her.

~~~Hidden Leaf Village~~~

Hokage and Kazekage along with Hinata and Kakashi walked through the Leaf village. Naruto was still baffled by why Gaara would want to come with them on the journy to the Hidden Sound Village to find the forbidden jutsu. Kakashi noticed a different chakra as they passed Ichiraku's. Stopping to observe the strange man, he assessed his chakra.

 

Ako was surprised by how fast Yasuzu got from waking up to threatening other shinobi. He could tell that she was strong, but he didn't know how much her body could take. He then turned to Rei.

"You are your own master, so you can make your own decisions," he told the girl. "Others will be coming to take you away. I don't want to, but if our hand is forced, we may have to force you to come with us. If you come freely, I will still keep my promise to make sure no harm falls to you." he then made an obvious glance at Yasuzu. "And my friend needs you too,"

He then turned to face Kaito, a dagger in hand. He motioned for Yasuzu to put down her weapon. It was his turn to fight, if that was the waterfall shinobi's intentions.

 

Kai was eating his ramen, which he was thoroughly enjoying, to notice Kakashi standing next to the shop. He was most likely reading his chakra which he had forgotten to supress. Kuso. I cannot be found out now. Kai turned around to Kakashi with a mouthfull of noodles. He sucked them up and spoke, "Um, may I help you sir?" He noticed the man had a covered eye and mouth. His eyes were wide as he saw Gaara and Naruto standing beside him. "Oh hello there Mr. Kazekage and Hokage. It is an honor to meet you both."

Hidden Hideout

Her breath was faint and the cough of blood appeared after the genjutsu. When she was released she had fallen to the ground holding her stomach. She smiled and began to laugh. "I called you a freak. I called you what you are." She grabbed his shoulder and put him into her genjutsu. The mist surrounded Ritski. Tsukiko became a form of the mist, a ghost like entity. "I know you can escape from this with ease. You being one of the only ones who can. Just remember you need me as much as I need you." She went up to his forehead and kissed it releasing the jutsu.

 

~~~Hidden Sound Village: Orochimaru's Ruined Hideout~~~

Yasuzu shoved Rei's helping hands away and rammed the hilt of her sword into Ako's stomach, "I am not your friend...and she is our prisoner. Those who threaten the Hidden Cloud...threaten our Raikage...and I will have neither of it." She glared down at Ako as she struggled to her feet, "Those who betray the Raikage's orders...are no better than scum."

~~~Hidden Base~~~

Ritski sighed, "So foolish...you..." he pierced Tsukiko with an iron pipe through her gut, "Are not my equal." Ritski's Mangekyo Sharingan eyes bore into Tsukiko even as he twisted the pipe lodged in her gut. He needed no genjutsu to damage any of the members in his organization. "There is one reason I want to keep you alive...and that is to remove the jutsu within that little girl's brain and body. To remove it I need ten people...you make ten, Tsukiko, my dear. But...fools are so easy to replace with temptations of jutsu's and power and peace. Fear is all I need...and I control someone's mind and body. Do not forget...without me...you will not have your world of peace."

~~~Hidden Leaf Village~~~

Kakashi blankly stared at him. Anyone who didn't know who he was was obviously an outsider. As soon as he addressed Gaara, the Kazekage turned to look at him and instantly recognized the darkness in Kai's eyes. "Those eyes.... What village did you come from?" Naruto, clueless, grinned at the man before several ANBU members landed around Kai, kunai knives drawn. "You who possess no official pass into the village. Identify yourself, or we'll be forced to take precautionary action."

 

Ako fell to the ground, holding his stomach. He glared at herm trying to balance himself. "I was making the job easier for us, idiot," Ako grunted out. He knew better than to get up right away. The fact that she was able to be up on her feet so fast made him feel shaky.

 

Tsukiko fell to the ground with the pipe in her gut. "Equals we may not be, but I can kill you by taking my own life. You are right. I will stop speaking against you master." She coughed blood on his feet. She couldn't help this being in pain. She rose her head to look him dead in the eye "Just promise me you will let me kill Gaara of the Sand."

-Hidden Leaf Village-

Kai was surrounded by ANBU members. Kai was a strategist. He had come prepared if such an incident occurred.. He was also the type of person who would not lie in any circumstance. "Calm down. I have my papers." Kai reached into his pocket and pulled out his Hidden Mist paper. "I am Kai Light of the Hidden Mist. I had something to do in the Hidden Sound Village. Before going home I wanted to stop by this village. I heard it had the best Ramen in all the nations." Kai turned around a tossed some coins over to the chef. "And it was the best ramen I have ever had. Now, could you please lower the Kunai. I am not here to cause trouble." Kai looked over at Gaara. His tone of voice became more serious as it would touch his heart digging back into the past "My eyes are of my family and the treatment we endure in our village. It isn't a great place to be as a child." In case they didn't believe him, Kai began to focus chakra into his hands for his beams.

 

Hidden Leaf Village

As Kaito made his way through the village, he was surprised to she not only Kakashi, but also the Hokage and the Kazekage standing outside of Ichiraku. On a normal situation he would've gone over there to talk to his teacher, but in this case there were a group of ANBU surrounding someone else that was there. What's going on over there? He thought as he continued to watch the events unfold.

 

~~~Hidden Base~~~

Ritski rolled his eyes and held his hand out towards her, palm out. The pipe dematerialized and her form twisted in various ways before righting itself and once it was right again...there was no wound. Another of his techniques he would probably never disclose to any of them. "As the Jinchuriki of the One-Tail, Shukaku...Gaara of the Sand is important. He will die yet again when we strip him off his Tailed Beast. Your chance to fight him will come soon enough...let us not hasten our plans...many things must be in the right place for all this to go correctly."

~~~Hidden Leaf Village~~~

Kakashi smiled under his mask as he took Kai's papers. They were old...but it didn't prove he was old enough to have lived during the Fourth Mizukage's reign of terror. He wasn't born during the time of the Blood Mist Village...but of the Fifth Mizukage's reign of stability. "I see you were born not long after the Fifth Mizukage was given her position...just long enough to erase the hideous past of the Hidden Mist. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to --" "Nah, Kakashi-sensei, why don't we let the guy eat. C'mon...we don't have to leave so soon, plus...the guy looks famished. And he said he came from the Sound Village." Naruto slung his arm around Kai's neck, "So...did ya find anything interesting in the Sound Village? The last time any Leaf shinobi were there...the place was destroyed and deserted."

 

Hidden Leaf

Kai was just about to release his chakra right as Naruto swung his arm around him. He looked at Kakashi. "I apologize to say this but my past is a delicate thing. It scars me emotional as this scar on my face does physically." This boy that had his arm around Kai had a lot of passion in him. He was full of light. "I sense a lot of light in you. I respect that in someone. You seem to be the person who could never lie or betray anyone." His mind had just got divergent with thoughts that maybe the organisation could be wrong. Maybe not all the Jimchuriki are consumed by darkness. This boy could be a spark of hope. "To answer your question, Hokage, the Hidden Sound has redeveloped much. When I was there however, there was a fight between some shinobi and the organisation. The fight did not last long however. Um, could you perhaps call off the men in the masks. They are frightening me." It was true. The masks gave him chills with all the markings and such. "If so, we could have some ramen. It would be nice to talk with someone so full of light."

-Hidden Base-

Tsukiko stood up once more with not a single wound on her. "Ok lord Ritski. Time is of teh essence though. I don't know why the other members have not joined us yet, could something be wrong?" Her tone of voice changed to a more peaceful one. She did not want another episode with Ritski and his powers. "Kai especially. He is usually the first to arrive with his speed."

 

~~~Hidden Leaf Village~~~

Naruto grinned widely and waved his hand at the ANBU members and they bowed and vanished without a word. Kakashi sighed, "Naruto...our mission?" Gaara looked towards the ground, lost in thought before stepping closer to Kai and Naruto, "I will join you. Perhaps you could tell us more about this fight?" Naruto's grin only widened as he turned them around and all four of them took a seat at Ichiraku's. "Hey, old man, four bowls of ramen! Extra pork slices for me, please!" As Naruto continued ordering, rambling on about food...

~~~Hidden Base~~

Ritski shrugged, rubbing the back of his head, "Ah, who knows... Kalasu will find them in no time. I have faith in my faceless friend." Ritski pulled no punches. From the shadowed corner where Kalasu usually sat, the seat remained empty. He walked over to his table of odd things and picked up a scroll with the Transportation Technique formula written on it. "Just think...the Yellow Flash's son is Hokage now...and the Fourth Kazekage's son is Kazekage also. I never would have imagined it...Jinchuriki's...weapons of war...relics of the past...rule two of the Five Great Nations." "So...the Kazekage is also a Jinchuriki..." Ritski turned around and saw Sena and Nabarashi. His young Jinchuriki watched him with careful blue eyes. "I see you returned in one piece, Sena...Nabarashi. My little butterfly and the Two-Tails. Did you find the girl?' Sena closed her eyes for a moment, "She's been in the same spot for a while now...but my butterflies can't find her location. It seems...they're lost. Her chakra flows through the labyrinth that she's hiding out in though...it's difficult to find the exact spot."
