Ino disliked the way Hayate was speaking about Sasuke and her, sounding as if she was like a dog chasing after him, or like a single person in a crowd of people. She frowned and said, "Thanks, but no thanks. I'm fine by m-" Just then, she looked up and noticed a large fireball coming towards them. She widened her eyes and exclaimed, "Watch out!" She was about to move into evasive maneuver, until Hayate picked her up.

 

just then Hayate made one grave mistake. He grabbed Ino in his arms and jumped out of the way. he could already tell that Ino ... well... didn't seem very pleased.

"oh man i'm sorry it was a reaction!"

 

The Fireball flew past them and dissapeared''no more Jutsu's for a while...''rayce said,collapsing on the Roof

 

Ino turned, showing her back to Hayate. She dusted herself off, seeming as if she was ignoring him.

 

"way to go Hayate... you tottaly blew it! real bad time to act so impulsevly..." he muttered.

"*sigh*.... it looks like Rayce collapsed i better go see if he's ok."

he walked over to rayce, who looked totally out of energy.

 

Ino turned, watching Hayate walk over to check on Rayce. She was frowning, and she still wasn't saying anything.

 

''man im spent,used too much chakra..''rayce mumbled

 

"oy.... rayce." hayate said, nudging him with his foot. "he's asleep....."

"well this one's gonna be out for a while." he thought to himself.

Hayate looked over at ino, who still looked angry.

he walked over and said:

"forgive me for acting so impulsivly... i was just caught off Guard and got worried for your safety."

 

"I appreciate that you were trying to protect me," Ino said, slowly, "but know that next time, I can take care of myself." Then she leaped onto the roof, landing smoothly, and looked at Rayce. "Hey, Rayce, come on, get up."

 

''why,you'll just beat me up again...but lying here isnt much better''rayce said,standing up

 

"What did you do to make her so mad Rayce?" Hayate said as he landed on the roof.

 

"You don't want to know what he did," Ino said, glaring at Rayce as if to say 'don't tell him'.

 

"well geez that just makes me more curious..... but if that's the way you want it."

 

''yeah...I really dont feel like getting pummeled again''Rayce said

 

"And we're going to keep it that way," Ino said, turning away from Rayce and jumping off the roof gracefully. "I'll be going for now, but Rayce, don't think you've seen the last of me. I have yet to make you pay."

 

''im not scared of her''he said to Hayate''she thinks she's all tough,but she's a sweet girl on the inside''

 

As Ino walked off, Hayate turned to Rayce and said, "Man talk about scary... anyway, need any help getting up? you look pretty exhausted."

 

Ino walked back to the village, her head still held high. That's a bit much for one night, she thought, looking up at the starry night sky. She closed her eyes and breathed in the night air scent. Tonight's so beautiful...I wish Sasuke was here with me...

 

''No..I can move just fine''Rayce said ''see ya''rayce hopped along the rooftops,limping as he did so,going much slower that usual

 

"ok then, seeya."

Hayate took a walk through the city, looking for any good candidates for a bride. Unfortunately he was to busy thinking out loud to really be making any effort at the task at hand.

"i don't get it what does Sasuke have that i don't? ya know... besides the looks, talent, Brains, Lineage... argh! it's like everyones completely oblivious to the fact that he only has one thing on his mind. and it's definately not girls..."
