    SPOILER WARNING

    OK, I've had this in my head for a little while but with next to no proof to go with it I didn't make a thread until now.

    Sora=Ven=Air
    Kiari=Aqua=Water
    Riku=???(the E.S.)=Earth

    Anyone notice somthing missing? maybe the FOURTH element? The only person that i can think of for fire is Axel. If that's the case then you draw org XIII into this complicating the matter further. But with that in mind it seems odd to have Axel go down just like that. What do you guys think?

    You make a good point. My guess is that Nomura doesn't have a fourth element in mind yet.

    Well if you think about it that way you HAVE to account Org. XIII into it. Most all their powers were realted to elements. So now if SE's going to involve KH with elements and turn it into some kind of FF game then we're dealing with all of the Org.

    I was talking about the four basic ones: water, earth, air, and fire. (There are technically a lot more, even without going into chemistry.) It seems highly unlikely that they would just leave fire out. Though now that I’m thinking about this a bit more, isn’t it possible the character have ties to Org XIII member controlling the element they were named after?

    Quite right : Nomura confirmed the names Ven and Aqua, which means Larry's (the ES) name will be related to Earth. But it's kinda hard to figure it out, since Aqua comes from latin and Ven comes from French (btw, note that French for wind is actually vent, so they dropped the t, which I understand, it looks better). So Larry's name will probably come from another latin language, and will be related to Earth, but that's all we have for now.

    Anyway those names are obviously meant to establish a connection between the knights and the gang from Destiny Islands, so I don't think the fourth element will be represented.

    According the the Ultimania (I haven't read it, but there's this dude who apparently did and translated some of the info), the name of the ES (or the person associated with the Earth element) is none other than "Tera", coming from Terra for 'Earth'.

    Take that as you like. Someone who's read the Ultimania and who can translate can confirm if this is true or not.

    Tera...I don't know, it doesn't really sound right. I know in Japanese, male names can end with a "a", but it's too reminiscent of dear old Terra to me.

    Seeing as how it was written in Katakana to begin with, the English equivalent could be spelt in an assortment of ways (unless of course they provided an official English name for it as well, which I wouldn't know). It could be Tera, Terra, Tara, etc. I dunno, I'm impartial to a lot of names. Sora ends in an A, but not a lot of people I know complained. XD But I will admit I first heard the name Sora used on a girl. But oh well.

    Again, someone who understands and can translate the Ultimania can confirm this.

    Wasn't Terra the name of the heroin of a Final Fantasy game ?

    There is more or less proof, since Sora means sky, Riku means land, and the kanji used for Kairi resembles that for Umi, which means sea (besides, Nami, as in Naminé, Kairi's Nobody, means wave). I don't know if it's meant to relate them to Destiny Islands, but it certainly relates them to one another.
