Name a video game which dissapointed you, but which you enjoyed as well

I did not mean reviews wise, I meant by all the people I talk to that own it. I'm probably just talking to the wrong people on XBL, but the majority seem to like.

 

explain the reason for Metal Gear Solid 3 please.

as for me Soul Calibur 3 and Mario Party 6. Soul Calibur 3 was a good game but it could've easily been better with a little more attention to detail but it was still an enjoyable experience. Mario Party 6, i thot the unlockables were nothing worth playing for and there were too many games that depend on luck.

 

MGS3 had great gameplay, but the story and character development didn't exist, especially not nearly as much as MGS1 or MGS2. Most of the game didn't have any story, you just went along with your objective going into different areas, occasionally finding a boss who was only in one or two scenes and barely said a word. The only part I felt connected to the story was the very end. Just because it was one of the best endings in gaming history, does not mean the story was well written. Big Boss I honestly didn't care for like I did Solid Snake or Raiden because I got to know them. All I knew about Big Boss in that game was that he was trained by Boss and betrayed by Boss ten minutes in the game. Afterwards you didn't learn anymore about him, unlike every other character who you found out more about as the game went on. The other MG's were full of unexpected plot twists and brilliantly written stories. This one didn't match up.

Mario Super Sluggers. I enjoyed the game and it was lots of fun, but the story was pretty short.

 

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II. Sequel to an amazing game, probably one of the best out there, but this game just felt unfinished -- and it was. If they had only left in some of the stuff that they cut out from the ending, and maybe developed the romance options more (because honestly, in the Male side of the game I couldn't tell if Brianna was in love with me or if she hated me). But I still liked playing the game, and I still do.

FF12. The only good esper in the game was Zodiarc and he could't help an old lady across the street. The only part I enjoyed about them was the rush I got from fighting them.

InuYasha Feudal Combat was a disappointment. It was extremely short, and you can win by button mashing. The only real fun thing about it I enjoyed was playing against another player.

 

Final Fantasy 12, Maken Shao and Jade Cocoon 2.
None of them met my expectations, but they were entertaining nonetheless.

 

I would have to say Metal Gear Solid 4 because I am proud that I own it and I have beaten it but it's just that is lacks the fun wen the first mgs game came out but I still play MGO

 

Naruto: Ultimate ninja storm is one hell of a great game but what is really disapointing is that versus mode has all this awesome stuff but you can't play online.

 

Metal Gear Solid 4. i finshed it and it really was overhyped by people. the script defintely needs some work in my opinion. and all the drama between the characters made this feel like an episode of the OC or felt like i was watching Seinfeld. it just didn't capture me as much as the other games did. it wasn't entirely disappointing, it had a story and it told it but at the end i was like "meh". the game is good but not great.

 

Animal Crossing Wild World, which was good however they decided to rip out all the real Holidays such as Halloween and Christmas . That's why I think ACWW is disappointing...

 

The World Ends With You, I enjoyed it until I had my first battle. I absolutely hated the battle system and it made me quit right away.

 

also, Star Ocean Till the End of time. the story wasn't that great.

 

oh and I forgot..the one game that completly dissappointed me was Metal Gear Solid 2........I only enjoyed the boss battles but then again they were too easy but the naked part of them game was beyond suss -_-

 

Assassin's Creed.

If only that we don't have to go to another place to find the one we need to assassinate.
