People get arrested on the streets, are the streets a police trap?

Myspace is a highly popular site, third most visited in the world. So it is a good place for the police to find out about illegal activity going on. These are rare cases, there what millions and millions of myspaces out there, and these have happened what? A few to a hundred? The Media as a way of making the reality of crime seem worse than it really is. Yes things like rape do happen because of myspace, but so can you on the streets, but do we all stop walking on the streets because of it? Actually it's more likely to happen on the streets than on myspace.

The media blow stuff out of proportion.

I just recently heard police arrested a man want to meet a fourteen-year-old girl but it turns out to be the police. Gee waddya know? He has a crime list of molesting children. There was another man with the same deal before that.

I personally don't like myspace. Kids at my school talk about it and even the least people I thought would be friends are friends on myspace. In a parental's view, it is a site that users show off their body on pictures and show it international. Sooner or later some may have regrets to even met that person.

I heard in the news that a girl was talking to a man in MySpace and she was telling him where she lived. Then the police came and arrested the man.

MySpace must be a police trap lol.

Its not a police trap per se, but sometimes cops will make an account using a stock picture and add you, you dont know its a cop so you continue posting and what not and they monitor you..its not how its intended and thier abusing the system but it happens.

    So becareful who you add.

i don't mind myspace... i don't go on it as much, maybe for 10-15 mins just to send a message to some friends. i actually found one of my best friends from secondary school there, we lost contact after we went our different ways.

Anyway's, a lot of people date on myspace which i think is just sad cause you really don't know if these people are legit (in fact i think most of them aren't). Then they break up cause one of them think a long distance relation isn't working then they go depressed & say their life is over blah blah blah.
N' to right... why would you want to date someone:
    1. You have never met before.
    2. You will probably never meet.
    3. Could be someone claiming to be someone else.

I've had a few guys try & ask me for a picture of myself, for all i know these are sad, lonely middle age guys.
    Eh no thanks.

Alot of people date on here too. There's literally no difference.

Myspace has always been a breeding ground for the criminally minded and demented people. Honestly, if you put on your blog that you graffitied some house or that you did some illegal thing, you deserve to get caught. There's almost no difference between yelling out loud in a mall and posting on a public blog.
