    So...
As a few of you will know, I haven't been doing image editing for long, perhaps a week and a bit.
I already have a few thing though, some new and some old, and some work that I haven't shown before.
Also, any new work that I do shall be added to this thread from now on.
So anyway, I will now show you what I have done so far:
CnC will be appreciated for anything.

    Sigs:

    My sig:
(This was one of my first pieces of work ever.)

    My bro's sig:
(He asked me to make him a sig like mine, but opposite.. if that makes sense.)

    Banners:

(Both of these are for an RP I'm in called Blood of Bahumut. -My first banners- like with my first sig, these are also my first pieces of work as they were done on the same day.
For these, I also edited things such as eye colour and hair colour so they match my character descriptions.)

(This banner I made at the request of my friend Aerith. G for one of her characters in an RP we're both in.
She requested a water based theme with Light blue and the caption 'little princess' which has relevance to her character.
I'm pleased with how the lighting effect turned out on this one as well, as that was a little something extra that I tried, and thankfully, I think it worked as it adds a bit of radience to the character.
Overall, it's one of my simpler pieces in design that I've done so far, but I personally think that just aids it.)

(This is my latest work (done yesterday), for one of my new characters in an RP for FFXIII. It's the first time I tried to put something in a circular border like this.
And yes... I am aware the render I used is Suigintou.
For this, I edited her eye colour from that pinky purple colour to black so it matches my character description.
I also added in a bit of light to her eyes just so they didn't look completely black.)

    Good job!
The colour schemes in all of them are perfect. Might i suggest trying to blend the stock into the background instead of placing it ontop. Also are you using Photoshop or Gimp?

    I'm using GIMP lol
by stock do you mean the main render by chance? (sorry, since I'm still new at this, I'm not sure about a lot of the terms yet lol)

We had photoshop at my old school and from what I've seen, it's practically identical to GIMP except that GIMP is free.
My mates have also said the same thing lol, so I think I'm fine with GIMP. Besides that, I've heard with GIMP it is easier to make curved edges etc lol

Really proud of you. Has been said before. :3 Gimp and Photoshop are both great programs, and it all depends on what you get used to, so I love how you're working with Gimp and the things you've accomplished thus far. Can't wait to see what else you do.

I like these, you sure aren't a fan of pointy corners xD And there's no problem with that.

I like the Little Princess banner because the background is just done very well and fits with the render, all the colours schemes work and the stocks are of high quality. The only thing I'll say is pracice with trying to blend the render into the background, it's been said but it will improve your work. There are tutorials all over the place to help you with that, like here and Youtube, or google. You know, everywhere :3 But these are really good, well done.

Blending! You should try it out because I think a lot of these could have been better if the render was blended to the BG. You can find various tutorials on how to blend on Deviantart for example. I also think you should try working with more elements like C4Ds and textures. Right now all of your sigs are pretty basic which isn't bad since you're a beginner but you should branch out and do new things. You're doing pretty good though and I can't wait to see more. Just keep on practicing.

For someone who hasn't been doing this for long you seen to have a knack for it based on a good understanding of how you want the sigs to turn out. Look up some tutorials on deviantArt they have plenty there and will teach you blending, lighting, and other useful techniques that everyone learns when they make sigs. Other than that I like the style that you have without the typical sharp rectangular sigs and went for curvier edges, very nice keep up the good work!

I have to agree that your tags are very well made for the amount of time you say you have been doing this. The main issue with all of the is primarily the text. Now I'm not good at typography myself but I can add a useful tip: Try and be artistic yet basic.

Don't try and over-do the text(A.K.A adding a bunch off unneeded filters and shtuff) , but try and blend it into the tag via color and placement. Don't just tack it on at the end, really think about it as if it were a whole piece itself.

Cheers everyone for the comments so far. :D
Right... I have something new... well sorta... this is a re-skin of a previous banner I made.
In the RP this character is in, she can transform into a sort of crystal like state where her hair and eye colour change and her body etc crystalises somewhat.
I'll post the orginal banner and then the transformed state for convenience of comparison.

    [IMG] [IMG]

This was a tough one to do... but I eventually worked out a method.
For the record... the crystal is meant to look inconsistent, and some parts of the dress normal.
Personally I like the look between them, as it does look like she has truly transformed, and there is just something horrifying about it but awesome to. (If I do say so myself.)
I know this hasn't really incorporated any of the techniques you told me to try and/or look for in tutorials etc... but I figured since this one was directly based off a previous work it was best to stick to what I know so they are still linked in style etc.

More stuff will be coming soon!
as always I appreciate CnC! :D
    Thanks again guys.

It's cool~ I was going to use it as a wallpaper thing, mostly since my current background is ugly to stare at but no worries

Nagisa from Clannad! (and for those who are curious... or those who know Clannad, the background is made up of the 'Dango Daikazoku', which means 'Great Big Dango Family' and is a key trait to Nagisa's character.)
She's my most favourite character ever!
This is my latest (and second...) signature of the week entry and I personally think this one may be one of my best yet.
    CnC please! :D
