Yep, I have put 2 hours+ into this and i'm not even close to being done.

 

My suggestion...is...

Take two very bright purple colours (each a diff. shade), and use a gradient MAP of them. =/

Then put it on screen and lower the opacity to like 10-30. Then use a selective colour or 200 PXL soft, white brush to make a light source. :)

It's pretty cool dude. I can tell this is probably one of your best. ;)
