Okay *Sigh* The second one is the worst, the text don´t matches, the render needs more sharpening, it was a bad idea to put a Gflare and too left it at 100% opacity, and too in a random place and too the Gflare is covering part of the text, too, the background is kinda plain, it needs some effects. The first one is better but is only a black canvas with lighting brushes, a render and text.
I should warn you, if you thinked I was rough, wait until a REAL critic comes, but I guess they are okay for s first try, oh yeah, follow this: FOLLOW SOME FREAKIN TUTS! Sorry, but some people don´t follow that, so I need to advice.
Chaser, the thing is, you don't tear up noobs xD You point out a few things, tell them to follow tuts. It's basically a gradual thing. The better they are, the more you tear them up. You need to make sure that your focal is in a nice area, and not scrunched up in a corner somewhere, and if it is, make it flow outward. Also, depth plays an important role in tag making. It's simple. Blur things that are farther(Or not important), and sharpen closer things(More important things). And make sure that you read some tutorials ^_^
