So yeah. I had decided to follow a tut on Youtube, but being the rebel I am, I decided to change a few things from what the video showed. Well yeah, it came out like that. I guess Im satisfied with it. Ehhh, the fractal at the bottom sort of bothers me. Damn it, I screwed up big time towards the end. Didn't end up as planned. That's my first sig.
Better than my first if you ask me. At any rate it is a strong start. http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?108136-First-Sig Granted it's a standard artist thing to be your own worst critic, so I can't really talk.
This is beautiful to me. The only thing that bothers me is: 1.Its long ways. 2.The very top is kinda boring. But other than that its verynice.
I am 99% he did that on purpose. Anyway Rat this looks way better than the one I did a while ago. And I still suck at this. Although I will agree the top is a little blah but since it is your first this is very good.
Everything i really nice, much better than my first tag anyway - Spoiler Anyway, the only thing putting me of is the white smudges you put around the render. The colour white just doesn't seem to fit in with the top half of the tag.
It's funny that you mentioned the artist part lol. Yeah...the top part didn't come out as planned. I was supposed to blend colors together or some shiet, but then it came out I like that. But I was like eh what the heck I'll keep it. Aaaand it came out like that. Yeah Lux, you're 100% right. And thanks dude. Yeah I was supposed to give this nice effect to the white around her by using a layer, but for some the layer wouldn't do the job. Didn't show the effect and stuff. So the white stayed like that. Thanks guys.
Well, it looks quite good to me. I'm not used to seeing vertical sigs, but the fractal at the bottom looks great, which may just be my lack of serious graphic making talking. All in all, it's good. Not bad for a YT tut with some improv~
Damn. For your first sig, this is pretty freaking awesome. Either you've got a rough natural talent, or you actually really suck and that tutorial worked freaking miracles for you. c: I really like it, the colors all go very well together. The one [or two] thing that is bothering me is that there's nothing on the top of it. The middle and bottom are made of win, but when you get to the top it's like "Meh . . .". Still, a bit of slack is a given here, this being your first and all. I guess the up-and-down longways thing isn't too bad, but it also bothers me a bit as well. Still, it goes with the render you used. Good job man.
Ehhhh, Im not too happy with the fractal, but if you like it, I guess it's good. Yeah, lol. Thanks for the reply. Never thought I'd post one of these here. Yeah, I sucked at first cause it was my first time, but by following the Youtube tut, I learned a few things. At first, I thought making sigs would be something too awkward and difficult, but seeing how it's done now...it doesn't seem so bad and uneasy anymore. It's all starting to seem basic and familiar to me now. Aaaaand kinda boring lol. Though I do like making things look nice. Yeah...there was supposed to be a flow of colors on top of the sig. I had to mix these colors that go together. It was the color black. I had to do a stroke of a dark black, a not so dark black, etc blahblah. It didn't come out as planned when I mixed the colors up by using the blur thing or w/e. I was mad lol. And really? How does it bother you, I wonder? Hmmm, I always liked how sigs like that looked. I mean, you've always got these normal looking sigs. Those look a bit boring to me. (Youtube vid showed a normal sig size. I decided to make mine like this.) I like how this sig is, because it's different aaaaaand because I wanted to fit the render's body lol. Thanks
Those are the two primary reasons for making a vert tag. More unique and displaying more of the render. The main downside to it is that when you try to apply it a signature it becomes harder to get the aesthetics correct in the page. Probably the easiest thing to do would be to push it over to the side using or tags and then add some text to fill the space that having a vertical tag makes.
Very nicely done. What I like most about this is how you made it with a fiery background. The only thing I would improve on, I guess, would be making the legs easier to see, but other than that, it's excellent.
I don't think it sucks at all, Rat. o: Like Jay had mentioned before, the white around Aegis doesn't really fit with the top half of the tag, and we couldn't really see her legs to much beneath the fractal. Maybe placing the fractal layer beneath the Aegis one should clear it up. Other than that, I liked the overall color scheme. Not to mention this is better than my first sig too. xD I hope you make some more sometime soon, man.
This is very well done! I commend you on your first try. This is an unusual species of sig. It goes against the way they are usually formatted. So i really think it's unique, you definitely showed that. I also like the choice of background color. It Is subtle, yet compliments the figure very nicely. The effects are very vibrant, yet coexist nicely with each other color in the background. The only thing that bothers me, is the fog effect around her. If it were more smooth in transition, i think it would bring it out more. the top of her head seems to be faded as well... that's the only things really. Other than that, it was a great first sig! I do like it, very out of the ordinary. I await to see more of your work in the future...
